Professional practice rider here with 30 years of experience. Braking bumps were nasty today. First moto I had my front brake hand knocked off of the lever, needless to say I didn't make the inside rut in that corner. Second moto, different corner, had my right foot knocked off of the peg so I did the old stomp my heal on the brake pedal... lol. I was laughing at my technique as I was trying to slow down. I love moto. New adventures all the time.
Is this some sort of coded message that spies use to report intelligence?
That's one of the best things about moto, it's never easy, always room for improvement, always a rush (from a fellow 30 year rider).
Aren't you meant to brake after the bumps?
See now this is good forum content.

Grip with them knees homie
Get 04 cr125 super tacky grips, 2 sided tape on levers , bend rear brake pedal out a tiny bit, run pro series IMS pegs, problem solved. Big braking bumps up shift & blip ovr them all & land into the rut. All Profeshenal riders do this advanced technique or at least I do. Installed a new ovr sized disk ? After a good warm up , drive it in Hot. And slam that front brake & endo. Next time use 2% less braking & u probably won’t endo but u will stop fast. Enter a gear high wo last sec slam both brakes on & pivot. Practice that racing pass or if u gassed it extra for mor air 2 bust out a Cordova . Once air born u realize oops to much & u land in the corner. This technique works great & is used often. A special dvd riding technique instructional video series will be released in late July.
What bike?!
*Instrucshenal (I fixed it for you)
A click out on the compression. Unless its too far out already in which case go in. Or perhaps different springs, or air. Ah, whatever. Just go faster and skip across them.
Knees back, squeeze with the lower legs. Elbows out, head over the crossbar. Will give you a lot better leverage and more control
I just want to thank you for not asking about breaking bumps.
Big braking bumps? You should sue the track. Call Rich at Eks Brand, he has a winning lawyer he can refer.
S000000 .... your saying you missed practice and 1st moto was your first time on the track and braking bumps were bad?
How was your start?
Nothing more humbling than a mistake that makes you laugh out loud at yourself in your own helmet haha!
Braking bumps suck. Best to just avoid them.
You forgot to mention, pull the clutch in, open the throttle fully, so other riders get out of you way, and dump the clutch as soon as you settle into the rut, and rocket out.
I try to skip over them depending of size if i can or just find an alternate line! Nothing says you have to plow through them lap after lap try going a little wider into the turn and arc in to the apex… if that makes sense, of course that is a situation dictates option as different tracks develop different lines!
