I am curious as to what his maps are? What are the differences between the maps you were using previously and what made you switch? A picture of the map sheet would be appreciated if possible.
Has anyone tried having their stock ignition remapped by Tokyo mods?

As for the differences, not sure as Chad doesn’t share the exact maps. The stock ecu when you make changes is minimally different. So I figured I’d give it a shot to see if it was a drastic improvement. If it wasn’t I figured I could sell the vortex.
Had an engine mount bolt come out. It’s the one that actually goes into the motor. I can’t find 24 torq numbers but I’m guessing 30ish ft lbs should be fine as is what my 2019 required. I checked everything when I bought the bike in may but just a reminder for everyone to check occasionally.
Today I went ahead and checked every bolt on the bike. I checked torq for all bolts that the book shows a number and tightness for others and everything else is/was fine.
Thank you both.
Just picked up some ride engineering split clamps for 30% off. Pretty good deal. Hopefully there is a noticeable benefit.
Fcp mounts and race cups only have a measly 10% discount. Sad.
Thinking about getting another 24 and sitting on it.
I got my first one for $8300 otd when the first rebate came out.
Is $6500’ish otd realistic ?
If you don't pay sales tax or any fee's you might get close. Under 7k otd is a good deal.
No chance.
I got mine got 7k otd 6/2024
Including tax?
I did out of state. Listed for $6600 msrp
I agree. I’ll take one at that price Lol
Okay, now that’s more like it. This is literally the only place where people don’t understand OTD price is the total price of purchase. Your purchase is not fully legal until you pay the taxes. If you don’t want to that’s fine but the dealer is giving you the bike with the expectation you pay taxes as legally required.
Maybe we should change OTD price to total price. Not directed to you but it’s crazy how people don’t realize.
Also, that’s not what msrp means. Manufacturer sets MSRP as the name would suggest. A dealer can’t make up their own msrp. Not trying to word smith but this stuff matters when people are talking cost.
It's much easier to compare pricing whiteout tax. You could have no state tax, a couple percent, or 10%.
I don’t understand your point? They are going for cheap. Just be happy about it. I handed the man 7k.

Why do I need to pay tax? I’ve purchased multiple bikes without paying tax, then eventually sold them onto someone else. Give them the cert of origin. If they want to register it I tell them they can go to the dmv & get it registered with cert of origin, aka MSO. I don’t ride anywhere I need a sticker.
That’s a really good point.
In my state they can get you with some hefty penalties if you don’t pay taxes and they find out. They have a deal with most close states where they report sales to each other. I know many who have had no problems and other who get massive fines. I just pay the $900
Yeah they cant do anything unless you ride it on land where it needs a sticker. Tracks & private land & you are good to go.
Well said. I sold motorcycles for many years. I heard a lot of bull shit from both dealers and customers. It got real old, real fast. I offered my discount up front and that was the firm selling price, take or leave it. kinda like Munn with KTM. I lost a few deals, but most of my customers liked the straight up way of making a deal. I have to say, I don't miss it one bit.

Anyone had issue with the PC Full TI exhaust rattling between the header and muffler ?
Anyone home remedies ?
PC said it was somewhat common on the Ti exhausts and they do full exhaust service which includes fixing that but it’s a 4-6 week turnaround.
**** I bought an exhaust expander but kinda nervous to try it on titanium.
That's common with both sides being ti. You can combat this a bit using a stainless header
Hi temp silicone sealer??
dealer cost on a 24 kx450 is about 9600. so with a 3000 rebate, he dealers' cost is $6600. then they have to pay freight to get it and mechanic to service it up.figure $200 for that. but a dealer can easily advertise this bike for 66-6800, and then add 1500 in freight/setup fees also called "destination fee". look at kawis website. they have a recommended amount for destination charge, but they also have a tiny asterisk or cross with a footnote saying "dealer sets final price on destination fee" and the bigger the dealership, the bigger that fee is. you can get charged up to 1500 for that.
My Yosh did that on my 22, it was SS. I used the exhaust expander and tuned it up every once in a while.
I just want to clarify a couple of things.
Kawasaki's destination fee is the actual fee charged to the dealer for the unit. No smoke and mirrors, that is the price. That is cost forwarded to the customer. Some shops mark that up, hence "dealer sets final price on destination fee".
In regards to the rebate, this does not automatically change the dealer's price of the unit. If that unit is on a floor plan and sold they still have to pay full dealer cost. The rebate will eventually show up on the dealers account as a parts credit only. This technically puts dealers out of pocket the rebate amount that they will eventually recoup through the parts credit. That's how Kawasaki does it anyway.
It's tough trying to pay the bills selling dirt bikes.
