I you watched yesterday'd F1 Canada GP pre-race show you may have seen May being interviewed by Martin Brundle on his famous 'pit walks'.
Many of us have met Mary. I was first introduced to her via one of Scott Wallenberg's Boise Inter Am events a few years ago. She's a racer...
Had not heard of her but saw her interview with MB yesterday. She's a treasure. Some kid somewhere,............yup, that's my grand ma ! !
FYI, some info on Mary:

Very cool as well to see Lewis Hamilton involved, it's a topic he cares about - women in racing, etc,
Mary is a straight up badass!
loved her interview yesterday, she's a gem! It was great when she blurted out "I raced Baja!"

produced by lewis hamilton... no angle here! i'm sure she's a great lady, but it's all so tiresome.
Badass
I never heard of her until yesterday at the F1 race interview , I googled her and read her Wikipedia page , she had a impressive racing career, she was friends with Steve McQueen, Steve told her "McGee, you’ve got to get off that pansy road-racing bike and come out to the desert."
If you haven't had a chance to see this documentary yet, I implore you to check it out. It is absolutely fantastic and very inspiring.
My only complaint is that is was way too short. It could have been 4 hours long, I was locked in!
Where can we watch this?
I watched the premier on ESPN a few weeks ago, but you can watch it on demand on ESPN+ or Direct TV.
I agree too short. You could tell they had a lot more but rushed through her life because they only had 30 minutes. She needs a full length documentary. What an amazing women.
The 30 for 30 documentary was posted to Youtube a few days ago, so it is now free to watch.
In honor of her life and accomplishments, be sure to check it out!
