what happened?

Ahh man, this is an embarrassing one. 

Got a Stark Varg delivered to me at work, dropped everything and put it together. I have a little turn track on the side of one of the buildings, rode it for a bit with a just helmet and Red Wings on. Loved it. 

Loaded it up and went home. Got home, told my wife she needed to come check out how unreal fast it is. Unloaded it from truck, basically did start down my street, jammed onto the brakes to stop for a stop sign and my front tucked and I went down immediately, split second. Shorts and a t-shirt, no helmet, going about 50 mph just sliding down the street in front of my wife 😂 my street just got resurfaced last month and is unbelievably smooth, I didn’t expect my front tire to lose traction like it was ice. So stupid, humbling. 

I have road rash/burns over a good chunk of my body. Both arms and legs, back, side, both palms are shredded. Super embarrassing and humbling crash.

I’ll save the naked photos showing the extent of the damage, but it looks like this over a good potion of my body. Fucked. 

So with that said, I will be purchasing the AX pass and tuning in closely this weekend 😂

Damn it man, that is brutal.

I gotta say this is probably the most painful and uncomfortable injury I’ve ever had. Worse than broken bones and surgery. Just can not get comfortable and the pain just doesn’t stop. 

Definitely paying for this one! 

Wow, the AMA giving a try to mix electrics with gas bikes?

Bogle should be on the Varg, I wonder if Josh Hill will race his Yam or his Varg?

Kudos to them for finally trying this out, that's the kind of thing that should help US riders race their electric bikes in the end.

Hang in there Kyle. Happened to me once on the freeway. Dad forgot to put 2 bolts back in the front fender of the street bike of his I was riding. Fender drug the front and down the highway and across the wake up bumps I went. Excruciatingly painful. I remember sitting in the burn tank and them basically trimming skin off of me with razor blades. Good luck bud

Reminds me of 1981, had a friend's pe175 that was working, did the rear brakes, forgot to put the nut back on the brake rod. Took of for a test, short, shoes was about all I had on, hauling down the street hot the rear, nothing, panicked on the front brake, by that time I was at rhe end of the cul-de-sac, bike and I hit the crib went flying into the dudes front yard bushes, I qas so scared with adrenaline, only took seconds for me to get the bike and start running down the street, could hear him yelling but I never looked back. When I got home is when it started to hurt!

Man, that sounds absolutely brutal. Had to be frustrating that you didn’t cause the crash, a couple damn bolts did it. At least with this one I have no one to blame but myself.

BTW, AX is also on FS1. It's not live but it airs fairly soon after.  

You sure the AMA AX series is on FS1 as well? I thought it was just the TRISTAR AX series that’s on FS1.

AMA are tipping their toes, there's AX class (2T up to 300cc or 4T up to 450cc), X class (electrics), and... they meet (once per event?) in the Clash for cash.

Maybe the AMA feared that electrics were not completely ready for the ultimate safety certification, the Friese crash test?

I wonder how many bikes will line up in the X class, will Bogle and Hill get the entire track for themselves?

I’m stoked on this Arenacross Series BUT, I don’t get it. To the best of my knowledge, Arenacross started in Central Ohio (Drew Wolfe, promoter) and it thrived. Eventually branching out all over the Midwest and, again, it thrived. Sold out venues. For years and years. And then, eventually, it branched out Nationally, with increasing purses and end of series payouts…. And, as things will… due to whatever, Arenacross kinda fizzled. But yet now, it’s kind of a West Coast thing(?) Nevada-Arizona-Idaho-Oklahoma- finishing in February at Daytona …. What the hell happened? Bring it back to the Midwest, the Mid-South, the Mid-East ! We will show up. Both racers and spectators. Please ?

When it was Pj1 AX it was huge. Very difficult to get a ticket for Milwaukee or Rockford. Des Moines was the opener sold out too.  Buddy Antunez made 550k in 98+ yrs not bad for a short season.  Matty B had Motor Rama a AX race in Pa. He said that was the 1st race.  If u want to see funny am crashes check it out.  But yeah it was a Midwest thing then it included the ne, sold out there too.  Very exciting AX series in the UK now.
