WE Review.

First thing I noticed, the motor is very strong relative to the 24. It pulls so much harder off the bottom. It still has a very nice linear and free feeling, and revs far. Where I used to be a bit lost between 2nd and 3rd gear, now I can just pull 3rd where I want to, and use 2nd for tight turns. It has a ton of recovery in the upper RMPs as well. Just a super fun motor to ride. It has the cleanest ECU I have ever experienced. Even lugging around, it's so crisp and zero hesitation.

Chassis/Suspension. I am coming off the 24 with FC Linkage and revalve, stiffer springs front and rear (I am 155-160, faster vet rider, 6 foot). I rode a sand track with some really square edge fast sections that never gets prepped, so I have an apples to apples comparison. The new chassis has so much more comfort through the hands, and does not feel as bound up at all. To put it simply, it floats over things much easier. You do give up a little bit of precision / track feel. The 24, I could feel the groud so well. It's not really the 25 has less traction, just a bit less feel and sharpness in slower loose stuff. I will take it anyday. The suspension might be a bit soft once it breaks in, but it has a pretty decent amount of holdup for how well it moves through the stroke. I really like how the rear end of the bike has the same shape, you can really grab the bike with your legs.

Very cool they put on a 2.15. The rims are awesome, did not even have to tighten the spokes much after the first day. The bike looks incredible. I am going to leave it totally stock for now, maybe get the TwinAir powerflow when it comes out, and might have FC stiffen up the valving / springs a bit.

I am not much of a clutch abuser, but having the very smooth and linear pull on the hydraulic, and not having to adjust it, is so nice.

Between the rims, the ECU tune/exhaust/headwork, and the suspension upgrades, totally worth the money to me.

How’s the gearing?  Need a tooth on the back? MXA MOD! Lol

No way, even with the 110 rear on there.

Rode it at field of dreams in NJ. Bike is killer. Need to work on getting a bit more holdup in the suspension but I haven’t even messed with clickers yet.

Still at stock 5mm fork height? The 25’ chassis seems to be liking 2/2.5mm FH here out west. Helps keep that front end up and more balanced overall

I put it at 2 before I even rode it. 105 sag. I think I am a bit deep in the midstroke on fast large breaking bumps that develop on tracks like I was at. I never felt like I was blowing through it like I did on the stock 24, though.

What's the fork oil volume in the 250 WE? The standard 25 450 is a really low 310cc.

CRF 250 WE
The ecu have an upgraded map compare to the standard bike.

BUT can XPR or TD make the standard bike better than the WE ?
So people buying the WE still "needs" to go to XPR or TD... If thats the case it devalues crf 250R WE edition

I’ve been Riding a 23 250 and the bike is really stiff. Did some revalve and tuning on suspension but never felt good. I’m just Riding for fun so I dont need power, just a bike really confortable with good suspension. I was thinking about selling mine for a 250 2020, but a lot of people say 2025 is better and has the same plush feeling of the 2020, anyone that know the 2 bikes could tell me more about confort and suspension compare to last year, is that really a big of a change ?

Depends on your tax rate, but I think MSRP + tax for the standard, and then MSRP + freight (600) + set up (150) + tax is fine. There are not of a ton of WEs out there, so you probably can't get a deal.

Picked mine up today. Now I start the process of seeing what transfers over from my 22.
I installed the twin air power flow kit on my 22 because that wire clip holding down the air filter scared the crap out of me.
This new air filter and box seems much better. The wire clip pretty much can’t come undone as long as the black plastic holder is bolted in .

How do you feel about the seal? I will probably still get a TwinAir kit, but that looks nice.  Is the filter angled down? Hoping so...

Is the filter angled down? Hoping so, so when you pull it dirt does not go into the airbox. How easy would it be to clean out the airbox on the clean side, with the backfire screen gone?

Yep the filter is angled so dirt drops away from the intake. The entire box appears very easy to clean out . With the more open airflow, I expect it to get more dirt inside compared to the last model. I do think it’s sealed very well but in the future I’ll probably get the power flow kit just because I like the design of the filters better. Here’s a shot of the plastic cover that goes behind the number plate. When this piece is bolted on, the clip holding the air filter can’t open. ( air filter was removed prior to the picture)

What kind of seat cover do you have and how has it held up?

Anyone have torque specs for the shock / linkage bolts? Just got my suspension back from Factory Connection.

For the lower  chain roller or are you asking for the torque setting? Believe I torqued it to 38 ft lbs like the rest of the linkage bolts. Looks like it says 27 lbs/ft for the roller, seems high so maybe?

I am talking about the bolt on the other side actually, I went with 52nm, so I think you are right!
