Has anyone else seen this post on MXAs website? Can't believe $100,000 purse for privateers at Glen Helen. Sounds like it would be a blast of a weekend.

“So essentially, Glen Helen is supporting MX Sports and the Privateers by paying for four riders to race four rounds of the Nationals.”
Supporting MX Sports? 🤔 The PR could have done without that line.
Or, another way of putting it, Glen Helen is supporting "motocross". 🤔
Better idea to hv a cash purse or if there stuck on that type of payout . Make it for pro am riders so they can cover expenses to hit pro ams to get there 60 points for there pro card. No system to help these riders . The non LL system riders r fast enough to beat team Green riders, etc. But can’t afford to hit races far away to get there points. Wi. Riders r Lucky to hv 3 Pa,s & 1or2 in iL. Most areas don’t hv this. This is only because of the big 2-st scene in the state. Some tracks here make a profit & can pay to host a Pa.

Nice try. The article was written that way on purpose. “Glen Helen supports big, bad Uncle Davey and his series.” Tell Bud to swallow his pride. He was in the wrong, anyway…
Only on the internet can you find people putting a negative spin on someone giving 100k to privateers. 😂
Nice play Bud.
Oh please. The article could/should have read “So essentially, Glen Helen is supporting privateers by paying for four riders to race four rounds of the Nationals.” Nice attempt at playing victim, though.
Or just leave that line out completely. It’s only there as a tongue in cheek comment.
Who wrote the article, I can barely understand the butchered english
a four day festival-style event to be held annually on the weekend immediately before to Round 1
. Next year’s event is scheduled for May 15th-18th, the in between the Salt Lake City Supercross finale and the Pro Motocross series opener at Fox Raceway.
The first of four days feature the of the Stopwatch National Pro-invitational,
Holy cow. How do these guys stay in business? That looks like it was written by a fourth grader.
It is Vital, that’s what we do. 👍
The 1st auto race in the world was in Wi. 1873 the purse for the winner was 10k. The st agriculture dept challenged people to build steam engine vehicles to accelerate the engineering to get away from using horses . 150 yrs later this lead to the development of the DBP. Lol. I Love racing history. Pre Mx Huge hill climbs events had massive crowds with huge purses.
Great thing for GH to do. Let’s celebrate that!
Calendar marked and will be spectating Thursday and Saturday for sure.
