Or he could have:
Done a helicopter off the bike.
Ran in to another riders foot in the start and crashed.
Missed the start and crashed two times more in the same moto.
Landed on a lapped riders bike and crashed.
Another possible scenario is that if he is there, they give him the inside gate and both AP and Tomac get’s worse starts in their combined motos with the mx2 and get worse results because of that than what they got now.
We can play this game multiple ways. Never say that a rider that never lined up would have won…
I don't think anyone would have wanted to win it like that. But you are speaking the truth. Too bad the AMA and FIM have similar rule enforcements which often aren't good.
