Perhaps it's the post MXON content that is answering all my post race questions, but this show is already so awesome!
600 was good, but I just anticipated this show so much more and it has delivered with these guys. Eli and Coop killed it, and the questions that were set up created some awesome dialogue.
Thanks Pulp Mx and Team USA!
The best thing Pulp has done recently is create a dialog between riders whether it's bringing on the next interview while the previous guy is still on the line or if they have one in studio to have a racer-to-racer convo. Those conversations have always delivered!
Consider me Philled out so 600 was meh. Here come the downvotes.
Last night was good and I am only about half done. Tomac is awesome and I am starting to become a Webb fan.
betts and ac in studio is gold
You can tell AC came in prepared with some notes and asks good question. He is great.
Cool how Eli said Matterly was the best rutted track he has ever ridden and maybe the most usable track ever, passing opportunities and lines everywhere. Seems like a rutted track doesn't automatically mean one line slot car racing.
Is it just me or does Matthes ask the same things everytime now? "What's up, how are you, how was the weekend?". His guests always carry the show currently in my opinion.

Im just half way through it but i can understand that Steve starting to get some what numb after all years of doing this and multiple shows each week.
But AC is so good at this. Well spoken, analytic etc. He, JT and JB are a living proof of that just because you could ride the bike the best you should end up in the booth. Rider with lesser results than RC are now doing a way better job as media guys right now.
I liked both the Tomac and Webb segments. Just like RV when he retired these two guys really start to come around at their older days and become more open and light hearted.
Im glad that Eli ended up going since we all could hear now how such a awsome time the whole US team had and how much the event ment to them.
And Webb speaking how glad he were that he got to catch up with some of the GP guys at the A stars dinner.
AC and Steve is a great combo but i would also like to hear JT and AC team up more with podcasts.
I think the Truly's were starting to kick on AC. He was getting a little glazed there towards the end. Great show.
PulpMx is now like Seinfeld ... Everyone around Jerry Seinfeld were better characters played by better actors.
Steve has been at it a long time and I'm sure burned out a bit, but lucky for him he just has to organize the show and the guests. The rest takes care of itself and that's fine.
Yup, he's built the show over the years, and he's created a reputation and environment where guests want to come on. That's the hard work, now he can just let the top-tier guests shine. What would be bad is not him asking basic questions, it would be if Steve made the show all about him, and forced conversations / topics instead of letting them come naturally from the guests. He's entertaining, funny, and relaxed enough that he can create the right environment for a good show.
If you only have an hour or so, the back to back Eli/Webb interviews are a good listen, especially Eli.
We listened to it yesterday going to and from the track I really enjoy hearing Eli at this point of his career. He seems to be really into it after all these years. So many times these guys are miserable the twilight years of their careers and it never seems like a great way to go out. Love that he’s still a badass and still happy racing. Cracks me up when they get him laughing.
600 huh? that pretty amazing considering if you have seen one clown show you have seen them all.
How long have you had that pic saved for this exact moment? I appreciate people preferring a different style show, but c'mon man, the dude made a career doing what he loves in a sport we all love. That should always get a some respect. Anyways, hope you have a great Sunday!
We usually agree on most things Bro. I don't lack respect for what he does, just who he is and his lack of respect for many.
I'm thankful for Pulp on my long drives. Steve often mentions retiring and I think AC is one of the few people who could take over and keep the success progressing. The Eli and Webb interviews were excellent. These two used to not be so open about themselves and it's great to hear from them.
I hope that Eli and Webb, especially Eli keep opening up more. Not saying they need to be like RV, but I hope that when Eli retires, he doesn't go completely dark for forever.
I'd love an unhinged interview from Eli. Not to thread hijack, but every interview I've listened to he is always very reserved and never completely lets his guard down - understandably its essentially his mantra. But I feel like he would be an awesome interview if he completely opened up. Not sure who the person is to do it or when, but I'll be all ears for that one.
I’m with you on that.
Just listen to a John Tomac interview, probably what he'd sound like!
