Dude wasn’t even supposed to be there, showed up, rode his tits off and got the podium. Mad fucking props!!!
His whole bike+kit combo looks fucking sick too
Legendary ride.
Fuckin rights!!!!
We all know the story but what a story it is. What a Legend Tomac!!! Dude has been injured, not rode MX in years , not to mention he is not a spring chicken anymore and the man just gets the job done wiith no preparation. As long as Tomac races he is my favorite, and usually I just wanna see a good race.

Ran this bad boy all day. I’m not american, but I was rooting for you guys, P2 was freaking honourable.
Hell frickin yeah! Captain America!! Proud of team USA! Loved seeing Tomac be the boss he is!
Bad man. Most entertaining rider of all time IMO
Everyone and their grandma knows Eli is a BAMF.
That "22" gave me Reed vibes. So sick.
Watching him take that holeshot and then riding like an absolute beast the first 15 minutes made me so happy man. Then the battles with Tim and Jett made this race all time for me as a Tomac fan.
Had to feel good for him. We will never know this publicly, but we can be pretty sure he regrets not doing this race so many times in his prime on a Kawasaki. He was awesome!
I loved how pissed he looked at the podium and in the interview after with Lisa, that's the heart of an all time great, he isn't to "have a good result", C'mon, he's the beast ET3! He isn't there to finish P2, I think this result has fired him for giving one last shot at Ironman next year.
The Man, The Myth, The Motherfuckin Legend.
Eli Tomac ladies & gents.
It was a great battle with Tim!
Most heart I’ve ever seen from him.
‘Beast mode’ usually only shows up when he knows he’s got the field covered.
But yesterday he didn’t have the field covered but he released beast mode for the first half of that Moto.
He definitely did us proud this weekend. Fought his heart out. Not bad at all for just getting back into the outdoor stuff. Some really tough competition out there this weekend , but he never gave up , and that's what counts.
i never use to be big fan of him, but after watching his interview after iron man 2017, he came across a decent humble guy, so was pleased he done well 👍
That was absolutely insane, best MXON ever, the Americans was the stars of the event imo🙏
Tomac was great, it was so good seeing him there. Back from a major injury, drafted in late, then hung it out against the best. Very impressive.
This is why euros get so frustrated at the lack of enthusiasm for this race from some of the US scene. The cost factor is understandable, but that aside; it's just so f*cking cool seeing the best in the world all going at it. Nobody will be talking about this years' SMX in 10 years' time but this race will be remembered for ever.
Pit Row
ET3 turns 32 next month, let thank sink in. Carmichael, Villo, Dungey, all done by 28. The guy is an absolute savage and deserves every ounce of clout hes got. All three of them performed. Webb hasnt been on a 250 in 8 years, showed up and put in work. These three guys are real life american heroes
It's not just frustrating to Euro's. It's THE race of the year for me. And having actually been at the event multiple times to see the atmosphere and intensity, it's second to none. I have to question your fandom of mx if you dismiss this race as meaningless
I don't pay much attention to ages, but is there anyone else that was racing there that's around his age?
Herlings, Febvre and Kenny.
Febvre is actually a couple months older, Kenny a year younger, and herlings about 2 years younger
Soak it up guys. Only a handful more chances to see him race.
RC was done with full time racing at 26 in 2006, he was 27 in his half season in 2007.
RVs last race in USA he was 26 in 2014 was done at 27.
Dungey was 27 when he retired in 2017.
Was dissapointed to see that Eli didn't do any post race media, or at least I haven't found an interview yet. He had an amazing performance and so I expected him to be in high spirits and ready to chat.
Am I just overlooking it? Anyone got a link?
Thanks!
Edit: Anton got an interview:

Phenomenal effort from Eli with the low prep, coming off injury, and late notice. I really liked his interview post race as you can see he wanted to win. He accepts the results but is PISSED. I hope this gives him the fire for a great 2025. I wonder how close the settings on the bikes were for each guy. Wonder if anyone asks how far they waver and if they were actually comfortable.
So cool to see fans from both sides of the pond just appreciating great riding/racing from all the riders regardless from where they are from!!
The riders have always had the respect for each other
You can tell these three truly had their heart in it. It wasn't the week to week grind "job" like the regular season. That's what moto is to me....racing just for the love of it. We've lost that in many ways and SX has turned into a circus show. Long live true moto....
Thanks to Webb for stepping up AND calling Tomac to get his ass on the team.
