… I would advise him to stay home, too. While there’s an argument to be made about “expanding the brand” to the world market by going to the MXoN, the truth is his social media presence is already worldwide. Making fans wait another year (or more) builds the anticipation.

And as for jumping to the 450 class? Nope, I would advise him to rack up as many 250 titles as he can, while he’s hot and his competition is baffled. 2025 SX West, 2025 250 Pro MX, scarf up another $500k at the 2025 SMX… and then defend all those titles in 2026. Go premier class in 2027 with a full case of championship trophies and a fat bank account…. just as he turns 21.

I actually agree, he can only improve his craft, and make more money.

If I was his agent. I'd want him to stay in 250 class as long as he can. Barring injury. Him in the 250 class is like printing bonus money. Also, if I was his agent, I'd buy a boat with my agent fees.

But I'm not his agent. I want him to race 450s right now.

He stayed home so as to not getting shown up by the silky smooth euros. Yes, he's still phenomenal. Downvote away.

No, he wants to get the metal out and get ready 4A1, but I say phuque a1, east is faster now and better tracks, east now the premier coast. Sorry. Might as well race mxdn.

Who cares what his social media presence is? The Deegan family already has a shit ton of money, Haiden’s talent will likely make him a shit ton of money in the future anyway. Just race your dirt bike

Vialle showed him in SX, even if Haiden grew up with a SX track in his backyard.

He could probably race MXoN, get his hardware out, and be ready for WSX 2 weeks later.

Or, he could do a Travis pastrana- get injured and realise there’s lots (more) money to be earned in other areas than racing.
And then he never becomes 450 champ.

The possibilities are endless. And when it comes to injuries, somewhat out of his control.

I thought he didn't go because Star wouldn't support the MXDN? 🤣

I don't think a single 250 rider would of had anything for him at MXDN. I would've been interested to see how he would've done against all the 450's. Well never know though.

Good point. Deegan had some absolutely spectacular crashes this year and was very lucky not to get (more) injured. We’ll see how long that luck continues… unless maybe he made a Robert Johnson deal 😈

There's plenty of pros who.made a career out of living in the 250 class. Nobody has a leg to stand on telling him to move up.

Deegan is at the top of the 250 class and he dodged the MXoN twice, end of story. Let’s move on.

He was standing in line at the bank cashing all them checks.

He sure was. He had a chance to show the world he’s the man on a 250. He waved that flag and said he wanted to make sure foreigners weren’t winning “our” trophies. Then when the chance came TWICE to go to a different country and win “their” trophies, he backed out.  Say what you want, but this sport is fickle and you squander opportunities that may be the only ones you get. It just takes one injury to derail you. Then maybe we never see him at des nations on a 250. If you’re a fan, you should be disappointed.

Let’s be real here the only reason he wasn’t going is he didn’t think the team could win. He felt that if Eli went instead of AP they had a good chance and he would have gone. Ironically now this might have been his best chance to win it for years. They’ll have a shot next year at Ironman but our aging 450 veterans and very few upcoming shoe ins to be competitive in 450’s it’s looking bleak.

....you would have had the pins taken out already because it is such a rush and we have to get ready for A1 instead of him being on vacation with the pin still in because the Doctor said it has to come out as soon as possible and we can't waste any time for it to heal up.

Oh wait, it isn't a rush. That's why he's on vacation.

I don't care that he didn't go. If I was his agent, I would have advised him as such. As for staying in the 250 class any longer than necessary I don't think you understand the young man's mentality. He's not going to be content until he can race with the creme dela crème of the sport and beat them.

The top Euro guys are no spring chickens. Other than Prado, the top Euros are pushing 30  or older.

Gaser 28. Febreve 32. Herlings- 30..etc..

This is a great year for a young 250 to show up and beat the aging top guys before time passes. But you have to show up to the race to be able to say your the best.

Yeah, it will be a hallow victory the longer he waits to beat them.

Kinda like Jake Paul fighting Mike Tyson.

He doesn't owe me anything . I already know he's the fastest 250 rider in the world . I don't need to see him travel across the world to prove it.

You want him to work 365 days a year just so you're entertained?  He just got done bitch slapping every 250 rider in the United States, he earned a break.
