I am dumbfounded by the whole situation. You ask the series leaders if they want to go (it's easy to figure out if you're gonna get asked because you're the fucking series leader). They either say "yes or no". If they decline...then you move on down the list. I'm dumb as a post and even I can figure it out.

How do you know he never said that? Outlets are reporting that he or those close to him said it. And presumably those close to him are repeating Deegan's own views. Because of the nature of the media in this sport, and the constraints they operate under, often the best they can do is report what they hear in the pits from those close to those involved. No one will go on the record.
When you're working on media for the Deegans do you and DonM share the same cramped office space in one of Brian's basements? Or do you both WFH?
