After the release of the new design 2024 KX450 we knew there had to be a better way for the KX450 cooling system.

Moto Hose began our redesign process back in October 2023 designing a new better flowing cooling system for the KX450 and after a very long production process with delays making the final 2 CNC aluminum fittings Moto Hose USA now offers to Everyone our NEW KX450 WORKS Y Hose Kit.

The NEW Moto Hose WORKS KX450 kit eliminates the steel cross over tube and 6 clamps and moves the thermo temperature sensor back to the cylinder instead of hanging in the middle of a radiator hose. The stock steel tube gets heated by the exhaust header transmitting additional heat back into the cooling system after it had been cooled by the radiator where a Moto Hose Silicone Radiator Hose resists heat.

We saw that at A1 the factory KX’s were running a different system much like we were already working on so we knew we were headed in the right direction much like we had done with our redesign of the 250/450 CRF system that was used by Chad Reed and the Canada factory Honda team.

KX450 KX450RS KX450X 2024-2025 Kit includes:

Moto Hose designed KX450 WORKS Silicone Y Radiator Hose Kit

2 CNC Moto Hose designed Aluminum Fittings.

6 Silicone Radiator Hose Clamps

Colored Gas Cap Hose

Colored Radiator Overflow Hose

NOTE Purple does not include the gas cap or radiator overflow hose.

Colors Green, Blue, Red and New HOT PURPLE

$399.99

What’s your take on hose clamps vs. the stock spring clamps? I’d think the spring clamps would never loosen, where hose clamps stretch over time and the hose blows off the fitting if never re-tightened?

I had a coolant leak on my RV because the spring clip had broken in half on 1 side. Every spring clip is a pain squeezing with needle nose pliers and trying to get it to move on the hose.

IMO It is the manufacturer bean counters way of making the new bikes manufacturing cheaper for them.

Simply put Black hoses do not sell colors do.

Several years ago we tried making black hoses and 99% of them are still sitting on the shelf.

Dont use needle nose pliers, use these specific spring clamps pliers, holds the clamp open while you position it over the hose, then release the lever. It swivels for ease of positioning, only $9IMG 0026 2.jpeg?VersionId=SsDbKtdtgM6g0IXtZ

I might be a player at half that price. Guess I better get used to being poor.

This is the only time I've seen that the replacement set up actually does something versus just add bling (although I don't ride other brands so haven't paid attention).

But same with the previous poster, I'd go for a set to take care of that pesky rat's nest and weird placement of sensor but I prefer more subtle stuff and the colors are a bit too blingy.

If you have a 5 axle CNC machine we might be able to work out some kind of a deal.  😎

There are "constant torque" hose clamps.
They include a stack of spring washers (Belleville washers) to maintain force clamping force as the rubber hose deforms over time.

I did mine for $40.  Maybe not as cool looking but does the job if you are looking to just get ride of that monster of hose clamps on the 24-25.  just ran 19-23 elbow off Ebay and an OEM hose for $15
