If WSX keeps having to pay the racers JUST to show up and also let the racers KEEP the winnings...They will be broke after this year, AGAIN. Their business model is complete garbage. Just because you throw money at someone and they agree to it, doesn't make the series valid. If a fair race was forking out money like this, the racers would still agree to show up. None of the AMA racers have to be bribed to race their series because it IS THE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP OF SUPERCROSS AND MOTOCROSS.
What's wrong with landing stars at the tail end of their careers? I think it's a perfect business model. Gives the series instant creditability and it gives us a chance to watch our favorites after they are no longer winning every race and would have otherwise quit racing.

The WSX format still favoure Roczen pretty good with shorter motos and tracks that don’t get as rough as in the US.
He will have a better chance against Eli at WSX than regular SX.
But both of them are at the tail end of their careers and will probably enjoy travel togeather, earn some cash and take it for what it is. Im pretty sure that the WSX title is the last championship any of them will win.

What does an smx title mean ? I get it the lower riders can make money at it but supercross and motocross titles is where it’s at being a ‘smx’ champion don’t mean shit , there’s definatley nobody getting 2 mil for competing it a 3 round smx series , I’ll watch both but I don’t think either carry much clout currently
Bro...you clearly don't understand what the difference is between getting paid by the Promoter directly to show up at their race and collect winnings VS paying an entry fee to race a series in which YOUR TEAM is paying for you to race and collect winnings.

Edit: Here I'll spell it out simpler. Feld Entertainment is NOT paying riders to show up to their Supercross series. They do offer a purse for your finish in the race. WSX is paying to get them to show up AND they're paying them the purse money. See the difference?
Who's getting paid $2m? What does an SMX title mean? well it means you have raced in 28 races and two championship series just to qualify to race and you actually have to beat the best of the best to win the championship and the $1M not to mention the $100K per win....In WSX Eli and Kenny get to race against guys they normally lap...WSX is now exactly what it should have been to begin with...a good little off season series that gives journey men privateers an opportunity to make some extra money and for guys like Kenny and Eli a place to get gate drops and make some extra money for just showing up in the twilight of their careers...
