Elzinga is doing really well. With more MXGP riders going to the end of their career, guys like him should do well once they step up. Just like Horgmo did this year

It’s still a tough class and industry. They still need to survive the next 2-4 years before all those guys are out. If you don’t get results straight away you’re quickly forgotten. Look at guys like Bogers,Moosdijk,Evans and many more.

Ducati coming with 2 rides an most likely Triumph also is helping a big part for all the guys.

Apparently some kid from California. He was an EMX 125 wildcard in the French GP last year but never finished (or even started?) a moto. His lap times in timed practice weren't very impressive so maybe he didn't qualify.

I've never understood why someone travels across the world to race another series when they can't even win on a local level at home. It equates to throwing someone's hard earned cash away.

he also raced Loretta’s this year! I’ve never really talked to him but I see him around quite a bit. Honestly i think it’s super cool he’s over there. Maybe he’s got family or connections or maybe a sponsor , who knows.

He finished 28th in moto 1 that’s pretty sick from what I can tell. Not sure what his expectations are but solid work from where I’m sitting.

If I got a chance to go try to race emx open you can count me in!

Swedish MXGP with only 24 MX2 machines on the gate....what's up with that?

How old is the lad? I'm guessing he will get better once he settles in. Never easy adapting to the Euro scene.

Looks like he must have some connections because he is riding for the Yamaha Johansson MPE team this weekend. That team has previously been an EnduroGP team

EMX250 is there, it takes entries from MX2. It's made worse that 2 of the 24 riders are over 10 seconds a lap slower. Just my opinion but there are too many rounds of EMX this year

One thing I noticed in the EMX races today, overtaking is for sure possible on this track Smile

And also Herlings ofcourse!

Great racing!

They still are.... They were in England last weekend....  Joachim loves giving young talent a shot.. He's a super cool guy with a great set up for that.

The thing Herlings didn’t need.. The good thing is the big points are on the line tomorrow.

I simply don’t understand how they can’t fix those starts. Yes it was bad luck CV10 fell right in front off him, but holy cow that start was bad.

Regulars like Benistant, Bonacorsi, Rossi, Prugnieres, Osterhagen, Weckmann, Stauffer, Mikula, Fredriksen, Bruce, Gwerder, Kooiker, Krug, Ranio, Benatti all injured or moved to MXGP.

And apparently most young riders that are out of top 5 championship finish still prefer to do emx250 over mx2.

I rode for that team 2008-2009 when they were the official swedish Honda enduro team.

Now Joakim (team owner) seems to support one Mx1 rider in the swedish mx championship and broaden his horizons a little.

If you have the money its a great experience, see a different part of the world and different raceserie. He is fast enough to qualify so why not.

Wish i had the talent and money to do the same

Gifting is such a Goofball - Classic!

Oh, I think I'm showing my age when I see a Blue (tanked) Husky, and,  I think of the mid / late 70s Husky 175 GPs, WRs and XCs.

And, Gifting gets the Holeshot - a bit of distracting silliness can be of use, at times!

Prado has really learned to pass in SX. He was literally the worst at passing people even last year. Now he's one of the better ones all of a sudden. He started like 12th and was 5th after lap 1. Herlings was right behind him on lap 1
