I have said very little and you have filled in a lot with your own projections.
You can see me as a clown. You are welcome to your perspective.
If i train for 5 years straight…. Im still not making it to lorettas C class 🤣🤣 i have to be truthful to myself… now i would be the D class goat.. but thats about it.
It really is. Even if you go 36-36, just making a national is a serious accomplishment.
Could you imagine if Pro125 got away from the semi and trained for 5 years?? He would be unstoppable!

I hate these questions.. Purely because my arrogance comes into play and i think i could do anything with the time and resources hahaha.
But now riddled with injuries from motocross, to move out of bed sounding like an old barn door and body half plated and screwed together.
If i can go back to 12 years of age. Had the money, time, support, training and resources with the goal being all in to go pro. I reckon by the age of 20 i could qualify for a night show 😂
As Chad Reed says... Your either born a champion or your not. And as far as im concerned. I wasnt born a champion, but my dog would argue that.
I know I defended what AJ said earlier in this thread but a lot of you guys are acting like he's a local C rider asking "if I trained for 5 years straight could I be champion?". If AJ trained his ass off for 5 years straight at any point of his career do I think he can become a champion? No I do not think he was ever capable of becoming a champion in the pro class. There's more to racing than just being skilled, there's a certain mentality that champions in this sport have and I don't think AJ ever had "it". Maybe he could have finished on the podium at some point if he took racing more seriously, but unfortunately that'll never happen and it just comes across as self centered when someone in their 30s is acting like they can make a comeback and be competitive and I don't think AJ has ever had that self reflection about himself. If Langston is right about AJ not having a work ethic then it makes his 4th place finish in his sophomore season even more impressive, but I don't agree that he would have become champion with 5 years of elite training and/or an opportunity to race on a factory bike. He's definitely a good rider, but everyone on that starting line are great riders. Just because you make videos explaining things doesn't mean you're actually better than everyone else at said thing.
I think someone over torqued a few of those plugs.
Kinda hypocritical coming from a guy with the name @38special.
Shitty gun, shitty band.
No doubt. That sleeper cab is hard on the back.
Its more like give someone 5 years on a platform to talk about themselves and the further it goes along the greater they were…
Yup lol
If I trained 24/7 for 5 years, I might be a better skilled novice rider! 🤣 Everyone thinks they could be the next “one” until they hit the deck. Then you realize a back up plan might be the better path. One reason motorcross/Supercross fans are so diehard is because most know the risk and talent level. So many people buy their first bike and plan to be an expert in no time. The throttle will quickly remind most, “it ain’t happenin”.
I'd like to know how many people that actually believe if they trained perfectly for 5 years straight they could win a professional championship, have actually ridden SX whoops. Those bastards look Volkswagon bug parking lot and you're supposed to blitz'em. Nope, my brain is too connected to my throttle hand to make that happen, regardless of talent level. I've ridden some amateur SX / AX tracks and those whoops scare the crap out of me, let alone pro SX / AX tracks.
If I trained hard for five years my body would be 20 years older from 5 years of crashing.
100% chance it doesn't happen, for him or me.
The thing about his question is that we already know the answer because we see it all the time. What does he think everybody in the top 20 who didnt win the championship has been doing? Theyve been training non stop for years and riding great bikes. What does he think garrett marchbanks, max anstie, coty schock, pierce brown, phil nicoletti, talon hawkins, have been doing the last 5 years? Fucking off? Theyve been training their asses off and havent won the championship.
Yeah to be honest it's a slap in the face to all of those guys who've been racing and training their asses off when someone like AJ says "Well if I trained for 5 years straight and had a factory bike I'd beat you".
Pit Row
I coached Dazza, Hunter & Jett for the first 7yrs and Dazza is still coaching them most days, so that's 17yrs training
Dude , you couldent have said it any better.
This is a great take.
Does he think he’s better than Anderson? Or AP that’s been busting his ass with Aldon day in and day out?
Say it to El Hombre directly.
In all fairness, he said that Hunter said that, not himself.
Considering how he qualified a few weeks in his last year of SX, without a factory bike, and without much training, shows that the dude has talent.
He's currently missing what I mentioned earlier.
In fact, he ASKED Hunter the question, not like Hunter said it out of nowhere.
You think training and a factory bike takes you from "qualifying a few weeks" to title?
Like others have said, he must think anyone in the top 5 other than ths champion must not be training. AJ is an arrogant and completely self-unaware self-promoting scam artist.
I'll concede on the first part. He did ask Hunter, and Hunter may have just answered politely. Maybe that's Hunta's honest opinion.
I'm not talking about his struggles to qualify early on. If memory serves correct, he qualified top 10 a couple times, at least in the first session. That's what I'm talking about.
I don't believe he's a scam artist. He's a dude making a living training people to ride MX.
From what I see, the classes are teaching basics. Basics that some people can pick up from watching videos, and others need personal guidance.
I do get things from watching his videos, and so do many others.
