How is the traffic getting in and out of the track?
If we have a 9 am arrival for the pits, are we going to be stuck in traffic?
Any recommendations in particular to do, see, or avoid?
Me too!
I've never been to Unadilla before, but since Kenny's going to be there, Skyshot is probably the place to be with camera in hand during practice.
Awesome track wish I was going this year. If your going to bring a chair pack a small garden shovel so you can dig the back legs into the ground. Lots of hills there.
I haven’t been since 2017, but we found planning a route in from the north to be significantly better than coming in off 84 / up from the south
Also, when coming in from the south, we said we should have parked just off the highway and road bicycles in and parked them..
This race and venue were awesome. Enjoy. It’s worth the traffic getting in.

Wear solid footwear, trail running type shoes would be best
Steep steep dusty and grassy hills
Bring an air mattress and go to the hill in the back and bomb down it. Gonna be a mudder
Its much steeper than you see on TV. If you are going to be walking around, pack light, you dont want to be dragging around a big cooler. Id bring a shovel, backpack chair and park it near the Hill that Stewart landed on Carmichael.....traffic is terrible leaving, head North and go the long way to save time.
I'd go only if I could find a time machine that brought me back to when the track WAS Unadilla.
I came here to inform the newbs it shall only be referred to as your screen name. Well done sir. The the weather is going to put the FUCK in UNAFUCKINDILLA this weekend! Bring it!!! gonna kick ass
Traffic in is not horrible depending on which direction you are coming in from. Try to park in one of the parking lots not directly across from the track. May be a little extra, but unless you plan on arriving at 5-6 am, they will park you way up the hill and getting out (especially if it rains) is a total $hit show. As others have stated, bring hiking shoes....hills are much bigger in person. My favorite watching area is on the far hill (famous Stewart jump onto Carmichaels back) from the entrance that overlooks "most" of the track minus screw you and starting gate. Another great viewing spot is the bleachers and next to Gravity Cavity/ in front of big table. Sky jump comes right at you. Have fun!
"Feed our Vets" will be set-up at #unadilla this weekend.
They will be set up just inside the main gate to accept donations.
The Legends and Heroes will also have a box set-up to help collect non-perishable canned and boxed food items and with your donation, you will receieve a FREE "Feed The Vets" sticker.
Kindly consider adding a food item or two to your grocery list this week and bring it with you to donate.
Food insecurity amongst veterans is very real and you can help ease that.
Thank you for your support.
If you're looking to do something in the area on Friday evening. Hidden Springs brewery is pretty close - Norwich NY. They have a really fun local band playing and good beer. I am in no way associated, I just found the place and the band a few years back and it's always a stop for me. I'll be there, come have a beer and let's talk some moto!
Agree 100%
Traffic gets worse the later you go, 9:00am arrival is pushing it. They do a terrific job with multiple gates, but there is one way in and out for anyone coming from the South.
Recommendations: Walk around. Unadilla is one of the best MX tracks in the world. The hills look flat on television. Good shoes.
Hidden Springs is great we always stop there on Friday night for local brews and music. This year staying closer to the track at Pure Country Campground so prob won't make it there Friday night
if you want to be in the pits @ 9 I would say you need to be at the gate by 7am. Parking will be a shit show, There is a very good chance the area may receive up to 3" of rain prior to the gate drop, it will be muddy regardless. As stated the hills are steep and slick, have a complete change at your vehicle, not a question if you are going to fall down, just how many times.
Anywhere flat to park? I don't want to get stuck in the mud.
That’s probably my only complaint about this place:.. Miss the days when you got to park on the track side if you got there early. The other side of the road sucks..you’re either parking a mile away, on a 45 degree angle hill side, or down in a mud pit. Hopefully they plan on having someone there all day with a tractor to pull people out lol.
Any update on your trip?
