They would have fit in perfectly in the 80's. They can both dish it out as well as take it.

I think I owe CBS $20. I think I bet they wouldn't show it...... Excellent coverage of that series.

I would say Soreballs had that one coming from Preston.
2/24/2008 9:12am
Sorby's a bit of a slimeball. He's taken out numerous riders in the past, Preston being one of them. Preston did an honest brake check to pass Sorby, but then Soreballs came back and deliberately took out Preston's front end. Preston should've let it go, though...and simply got into the LCQ and then the main. That's first priority. But, then he should go pay Soreballs a visit in the pits.

I do have to admit I laughed my butt off when Preston retaliated on Soreballs...Soreballs launched off the track. Too funny.

But, I wonder if Kawi's going to fire Preston.

Fire him ? I would be giving him a bonus .

I don't want to see them fire him...but I wouldn't be surprised if they did. I'd give him a bonus, too. Stomp on that slimy frog.

did you hear emig say something like 'you can screw up a set of factory forks by doing what preston did'?

Hell preston likley got more "air time" on CBS with bangin off of sorby then he would have gotten with a 12th place finish. Sorby well he got a little pay back and some air time to.

Mike Fisher is the Team mgr at Kawi, I know he has to be professional and all, but I can't help thinking he gave #11 a hi-5 somewhere off camera for that stuff.

Fisher was a badass rider in his day, one tough mofo who wouldn't take any shit.

I like sorby and his crash and smash style of using other riders as rolling berms. Very intertaining. I think however his name should be changed. To Lil' Napolean.

Remember Fisher back in the day when he launched himself off that berm and flew what seemed like forever towards the stands? Forget what SX it was, but think he landed on some concrete...Mike was a darn good rider.

1989 SD SX. Mike Fisher was leading the race with a host of legends behind him.

Yep.. It was 89 SD and it was on the 10th lap. He was riding the race of his career. Ended up with a busted up shoulder and that really put a wrench in his career.I was at that race with my family, cheering him on..His KTM days were really good also. I think ocscottie sent me the 89 SD sx, but it got left on my old harddrive. I would love to have it again. Maybe BobbyM can post it? <img class= " title="Smile">

They were just shipped back to japan for inspection and a quick clicker adjustment.

When Preston did his pay back and punted Sorby off the track, I became an instant fan of Preston.

That was beyond a good take out move. It looked like Sorby had a hand full of throttle just as Preston pointed him the wrong direction...and he rocketed right off the track. I laughed so damn hard...think I'll go play that back on the TiVO for another great chuckle...

So since Preston go his factory ride, what has he done to deserve it? I'm not a fan of either one of them, and I think Preston needs to go back to shoveling shit because he isn't doing a dam bit of good results wise.

Preston got Kawaski a ton of publicity this weekend. For being out of shape and coming in to ride the fire breathing Bubba machine . He's done well. I would be really happy if I was at Kawi.

He is good for sticking Soreballs where he belongs.

It cost a lot of money to send the forks to Japan, plus they spent all the cash on the extra set of plastic.

Fischer... I think that crash at SD was the end of those stupid hydro barriers. He ragdolled in a big way off the top of one of them.

We can't forget back when Preston was trying to defend his west coast lites title against Bubba, if was Sorby who cleaned him out over the finish line jump, sending Preston into the scoring scaffolding. I would bet Preston has never forgotten that.

You guys have to remember Preston hasnt raced SX in a long time. The guy is gonna need some time to get up to race speed. I have a feeling he'll be taking Stewarts ride for the outdoors also. i think he'll do pretty good
