Be cooler if it had a carburetor on it
I hate to be that guy, but he doesn't look fast or fluid on that bike at all. It looks like he almost fighting it in spots. Did Chase ever race 125's ?
Probably box stock. Suspension looks soft AF.

That's it, I need a break from this forum
I swear it didn't used to be like this where every goddamn topic was divisive or argumentative
Unfortunately I’m feeling the same way ! There’s a whole new vibe here and lots of new members that have brought their negativity to the forum.
There’s a few that feel the need to continue to make an ass out of themselves with their posting, it’s a bummer to see
I’m working on it, ok?
lol
You’re not even in the top 50
My bad bro, I'm just a simple Moran.
More please👍
Looks not comfortable!
Amazing Bubba was able to beat 250fs on those things!
Sounds bitchin tho
lol
You’re all good buddy, there’s a whole lot of dudes that are making you look good.
There is No such a thing as being smooth on a 125. 1 tiny bobble and you loose momentum and it all starts over getting back up to speed
You can still be smooth but with high RPM’s.
It’s clear that Chase has been on a 450 for a long time and is a rider that take a long time to adapt to a new bike (as we have seen before).
Then you have riders like Carson Brown, Roczen, Herlings and Stewart that can jump on a bike with any CC’s and make it look like they have ridden that bike their whole life from the first corner.
250 fart wagons weren't making 50 horsepower back then. Still impressive though.
Pit Row
"Say man, you got a carburetor?"
"Uhhhh, no, not on me, man."
" . . . It'd be a lot cooler if you did . . ."
Lechein, Barnett, Ward, O’Mara etc could stay in the revs and look smooth as glass on a 125. Of course a bobble, missed shift, etc meant having to get back up to speed.
I agree 5-10 years ago it felt like everyone shared the same passion and was here for the same reasons. It’s always been a bit wild here yes, but now it’s increasingly filled with attention-seekers and negativity just for the sake of it, rather than meaningful discussions. It’s not as enjoyable anymore.
Yup
I blame social media. Nobody is held accountable when they are hiding behind a screen name and then there’s the ones who just troll people to get an argument going.
We had a good run, I doubt I’ll last much longer on here and I don’t use social media, other than scrolling moto stuff on Instagram. I don’t even do that much anymore.
Same thing happened to Thumpertalk and KTMTALK. They both got infiltrated by trolls and know it alls. Although KTMTALK is still the best site for all things KTM, in my opinion. Lots of good dudes on there that like to help others, instead of slinging shit
And I doubt James’ 04 KX had the HP a new KTM does…maybe I’m wrong
And guess what...?
They ain't got a ticket to ride! 🤣
Truth. At least you'll always have Bean Cyn.
James 125 would be about the same as a stock ktm125 is today. And he opted for a package with less HP than the PC bikes to gain some bottom end instead.
Weren’t stock 250fs in the mid 40s horsepower wise back then? Wouldn’t it be safe to say Mitch could add some HP to inch close to 50?
It doesn’t matter and we’re talking about fictional scenarios here. My point was that 125s are slow lol.
A rider friend of mine that’s on here always says. Imagine meeting some of the posters in person. I says no I’m good on that! There nothing posted that isn’t hammered and trashed on this site. What happened.
In 2004 we talk about 34-35whp on a Dynojet on a stock 250F and about the same on a 125. The first years of 250f’s were often down on peak HP compared to 125’s. But a couple of years in they surpassed the two strokes in HP to and the rest is history.
A factory japanese 125 back then would have been around 38-39whp and the KTM factory 125’s in the 40+hp’s.
