Jack Miller to race Aus MX this weekend!

It’s cool how Jack races at home , X he’s done road race , flat track and now mx races in the

Last few years 

He's pretty handy on a MX bike......has a track in his back yard in OZ. 

Seems like a decent bloke......but will be looing for a ride in 2025. Maybe he can find a WSB ride if nothing in MGP

That he is allowed to do that from ktm is also a sign that ktm no longer takes him seriously

“A little spontaneous for me to throw a leg over the dirt bike at a national-level event, but in keeping with my typical last-minute fashion I thought I’d give it a crack,” Miller commented.

Miller will be on a Caterpillar-backed Thriller Motorsports KTM 450 SX-F.

I might have to tune in to this, very cool! Hopefully he gets a decent WSBK ride for next year. 

Would love to see him racing MX.

He'd be a good fit in WSBK but he might have a chance to stay in MotoGP on the Honda no one wants to ride, or maybe go back to Pramac (Yamaha) or Ducati (Gresini).

Well, he's found a MotoGP bike for next year 

being a motofan i fallow what jack does, specially outside motogp......

but on track, he has not done much since he left ducati.......ktm was winning races with both riders, til they kicked out Miguel Oliveira, and then, things kept getting worst by the race......i really dont think anything will change in aprilia.....

I lined up against him at a local flat track race a few years ago when he was home for the break, it was great to have him race, he just slotted into the event without a fuss like anyone else there. It's good to see top level riders who are still doing it because they enjoy it. The ones that complain about having to ride for a living are painful to listen too.

Anyone know how he did ?

I always think its cool when road racing and flattrack guys ride moto. I can't understand why we dont see it go the other way.

I think it comes from loads of road racers starting in MX before switching to roads. MX remained their first love, roads became their job.

cost wise its a massive commitmnet even to do a track day, where moto is way cheaper,  most rr guys use dirt bikes for training now, 

I guess it's just much easier to get started on dirt bikes at a really young age. Here's another Australian rider who did ok on dirt before switching to road racing.

Looks like the great Casey Stoner. Wish he wouldn't have retired so soon. Marc Marquez's life wouldn't have had so many wins if CS27 stuck around a little longer.

Remember when Jake Gagne, who hadn't raced a dirtbike since 65's I believe, qualified for the Utah National? I think he was pretty close to earning points in the 450 class too. 

I'm not so sure about that, MM93 stepped up to MotoGP and won on his third try, never finished off the podium in 2013, then won the first 10 in a row in 2014. He won from the front from the back in wet and in the dry, I don't think Stoner on the track would have made much of a difference back then..... 

Casey would have had trouble besting Marc. He had trouble besting milk let alone one of the greatest to ever do it. 

I'm a big fan of Marquez, I know his stats, I just know there were a few tracks that Casey was just remarkable to watch ride a motorcycle. I can watch him ride Phillip Island all day.
