I hope he turns it around. His second moto was some better. Wish he had gotten a better start in the first. He came through the pack better that first moto, though. I saw Todd a couple of weeks ago. I didn't want to press him about it. I'm pulling for him like all us NC boys, I'm sure.

I fully expected to see him running with the top 5-7 guys consistently this year. Hopefully he's able to put everything together soon. I can't imagine Star is too happy with his results.

Idc if anyone else agrees with me but I thought him signing to star after deegan did was a huge mistake, especially when he had seen how well deegan was riding there. Once deegan was signed dax was the next top prospect that teams had the option to sign and it was clear deegan was going to be the #1 at star. He either should have stayed at ktm where he would have been the top 250 guy over there at the time he signed or tried to go to husky or gas gas.

Dax was a fast kid but he needed to be either the top guy on a team or right under it so the team could really focus on him and build him up. At star hes like the 12th deep rider on the roster with a bunch of super fast guys who have done much better than him. Theres no way the team can focus that much on him with 27 other faster guys on the roster. The same way chase needed to go to ktm so he could be the man over there and get everything he needs and be the main focus dax should have went to a team that would have had him be the main focus. I can understand why he would want to go to star the name holds weight and his best friend went over there, but him being the top priority at ktm or husky would have been a better career decision imo.

Or maybe it's just a talent issue. He ripped in SX futures; might just need some more time in the pros.

I've been wondering when he's going to turn it on.  His results are definitely not living up to expectations.  I'm still confident he'll figure it out, hopefully soon.

If he were a 10-12th place guy he'd probably be okay but he's more of a 13-20th place guy and that's not going to cut it at Star. A new team and maybe a little attitude adjustment will be good for him.

it's not just Dax...every Star rider other than Deegan is struggling this year...

Probably because they don't have the fitness for outdoors. Most of them looked fine in SX. Just like Kitchen at PC as well as Max Antsie. Outdoors is a whole different animal. 

Star lost Cooper and Kitchen from the 250 class from last year, who else do they have now other than Deegan? Based on historical results Smith, Thrasher, Romano and Bennick are finishing around where I would expect.

First full year doing pro sx/mx, I’m sure he will figure it out and will settle in, hopefully for next year anyways. I like the kid! 

Part of it for sure.  This is his first trip through a full season and his first round as a pro at all but the four tracks he competed at last year after LL’s.  Yes, Deegs is killing it but look how many grown men are in the 250 class while Dax is still getting his feet under him as a pro. He may grow some more (like AC) and he definitely could stand to add some muscle over the next couple of years.  Probably needs to sort a thing or two in his head out also.  Give the kid some time, I don’t think it’s time to hit the panic button on his career quite yet.  That’s just my opinion but Vital’s got to Vital…

I see him and Beaumer being future 250 class top 5 guys with Beaumer being a possible class champion.  Dax struggles to get consistent starts and if he doesn't start well, struggles to make passes and work through the pack.  When he gets a decent start, he can finish top 5-10 range.  Speed is decent, just needs better fitness and race craft.  He's a very talented kid.  Needs time to develop.

Dax is going fine and has another year on his deal to show improvement.

I ran a 250 guy down  every Lap in the whoops that went 9-9 at Millville on a 95 yz125 in 97. He also podiumed in 125 sx. Fast guys bring it rt away. It’s there or it’s not. 

He looks like he’s struggling with the bike. 

I'm losing my confidence for Bennick.  He should be right up there finding his way with Cochrane, but he's rolling around getting lapped.  Not looking good.

Same, I thought he’d be fighting in the top 10 with the occasional top 5. 

I've been cheerleading him for a long time because I know he has the skills, but maybe he doesn't have the mental game or the fight in him for races.   Still hoping he figures it out, but not so sure anymore.

This is going from bad to worse. He needs to figure things out quickly.

Dude is so disappointing.  Every week I put him in my fantasy picks because I know he has the raw talent.  More often than not, its nothing but disappointment.  I can't imagine what it's like for him in the rig.

It’s his first year. I think he will be better in year two just like Deegan. The one concern is riders like Hymas, Cochran, Beaumer, Reynolds, Difrancesco, Brown, Hawkins and Fineis seem the be riding better than Bennick.
