Marchbanks super fan here. Yeah you read that right. I’ve kept a close eye on him since his pro debut and from what I noticed he’s certainly humbled out over the last year or two. He has seemed to have learned from his “tantrums” in his younger days. Club seems to be pushing the limits of their bike, causing issues far too often. That has to be frustrating for a higher tier athlete. I’m sure he’ll do well @ PC. Garrett’s starts are normally awful, but Mitch has obviously found something within their bike recently. I wish him the best.

This isn’t a stab at you Dark, but more the industry as a whole.. it’s shitty for us fans that we have people in the media that know, but won’t tell us the real stories, what happened to rumours? leaking info and proper JOURNALISM in the sport? I understand the media wants to be in with the riders and not rock the boat, but other sports are savage with leaking information, I wish the riders were contracted to be more upfront with the media or not have the right to refuse interviews because they don’t like the media person..

Yeah these other sports have 100s of people in and around the players that is just way too easy to leak information. MX you have only a handful of guys that know about stuff so its much easier to keep things internal.

So if these media guys burn bridges with one guy from the team they will just simply not get anymore inside info.

Garrett Marchbanks is set to return to the Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki team for the 2025 season.

With this move, we’re not sure, but Marchbanks could potentially join PC for SMX in 2024.

It is criminal if all Masterpool can get is a Club ride. You win Nationals, you get a factory ride.

Then he should have just said I don't know. This I know more than you but can’t say is old.

Yes, true journalism in the moto industry is a joke and pretty much semi controlled press releases but, one thing you need to realize about leaks in other sports is most of them will be planted leaks. If Patrick Mahomes is unhappy with his contract he will tell his agent to leak that fact to the media. It's just like the paparazzi and stars. It's no coincidence that a ton of photographers end up outside the restaurant the latest "It Couple" is dining at.

I’ve tried to buy parts etc from clubmx to support them but they won’t take the time of day to respond,  I reached out on how I was going to purchase skid parts from one of there sponsors but needed a code so they can track that clubmx is the reason I was buying, again no response, if that’s how they run business I don’t see them lasting much longer imo.

Try reaching out to other teams and see if you get a response!

Stop having sense. No place for that in moto.

Hahaha awesome!! Sorry to derail the thread but I have to ask how long ago! I used to spend winters in holly springs North Carolina back in the “serious” race wear days. Boy do I miss that we had a huge crew of solid guys that would not only give you a clutch but their bike if they weren’t riding at the time.

Pretty sure it was 08 or 09. I worked as a mechanic for Futrell and Zimmer around that time also.

Sadly most these teams care about Supercross more than anything anymore. Mitch wanted to keep him but wasn’t enough room.

There isn't one non-endemic revenue stream for these "journalists" to count on as income, so we are on a hamster wheel when it comes to information for fear of being blacklisted.

Not trying to throw shade at them but, I was down there for a week and needed a clutch or simply a plate. I asked 2 different people one i believe was the owner and was told they don't have it. Meanwhile the team was running the same bikes. I found that hard to believe they didn't have multiple clutch kits or simply a old used steel plate to sell me.

That's insane!!  Even if you had a different brand and I ran the place/worked there I'd be trying to help.  Like you said they must've had 100's laying around.

That really makes me wonder what kind of shitty people run that place.  That's really sad.

I don't think ClubMX sells SkidSteer parts in their pro shop which is what the dude was complaining about.

What he's not addmitting is that he didn't want to make sure the company knew he bought because of ClubMX, he was actually trying to get a discount.

If all he cared about was Club getting credit for the sale he coulda just wrote the company an email saying "Hey, just wanted to let you guys know that I appreciate you supporting motocross and the ClubMX team.  I'm a fan and just purchased some parts due to your support."

It was a fuel tank and other parts they had listed, the skid dealer said they are supposed to give out a code, I never got any discount by the way…

What good is inside info if you never share it? You get to pat yourself on the back and tell yourself what a great journalist you are ? 🤣🤣

If you’re at a pro national and have any issue 9/10 times a factory team will step in and help you out free. That’s unless you need something like a whole motor etc. Clutch no prob. Top end no prob. Some gaskets sure etc etc. Exotic parts obviously are out of the question.

Matthes asked why G Man was fired and no one wanted to touch the subject on the Fly intro podcast.

Very odd.

Even more odd if he doesn’t get on a green bike for the remainder of the season.

He rode himself out of the SMX rounds. Not much else to blame.

He’s had multiple mechanicals. I have no idea if it was the mechanic’s fault, but would make sense if so.
