I have stories for days about the deegans. From loretta Lynn's to mini os of shit they started or have done. What you see now from the deegans times that by 10 in amatuers. They've calmed down some with Brian letting star handle things on race days. Best one was mini os when they were on superminis and casey finally had enough and cleaned haiden out tight before the finish line on the last lap. The whole deegan entourage came unglued. This is after yrs of casey turning the other cheek with haiden riding dirty. It got bad under the tent. Casey parents are nice but the dad was fighter jet pilot (legit was the real life top gun) and the mom was mechanic (only woman) on the jets. So deegans and there entourage didn't scare them not one bit.

Not to derail this thread but if you believe the Deegans to be "true American hero's" you know nothing about America.  I have served with both Doug and Amy and they are closer to being American hero's than any of the Deegan's.  I served with Doug when he was flying F-18's off the pointy end of the USS Independence over in Japan, and served with Amy at the bureau in Millington when Casey was just a baby.

I guess you and I have a different idea about what makes a person a hero.

No DKURTD you are  right and the other poster is wrong

And "true American hero"

Family suggests more than one, hero suggests one.

Do the math.

I was hoping the original guy was trying to be funny.

Seems like a great kid. His excitement is contagious and was nice to see how excited he was on the podium.
I’d love to see him gain the confidence needed to be up front every weekend, the 250 class is on fire right now.

Good to see finally get one, once he grows a bit more and gets stronger good things will come, he has no quit in him and wants it.

It will be interesting to see his trajectory vs Ryder D.

Once he gets "man strength," the kid will be a force for sure. Between Casey, Hymas and Deegan (love him or hate him, he rips on a dirt bike), the 250 class seems to be in pretty good hands for the next few years.

@dkurtd I sent you a PM about your time in Japan.

Add Drew Adams to the list, the under 20 250 riders are quite strong.

Hopefully Ryder D can sort his shit out too.

Forgot about Adams. Cole Davies, too.

I picked him for Red Bud with the last few bucks in my fantasy coffers. I didn't really know much about him, but I remembered his name from a special they did during (last year's?) supercross futures season. The kid took 7th for me, and so I picked him again and he podiumed! Hell yeah, that's what I'm talking about. I'm a fan.

He said the Deegan's were a proud American family. Where did he call them hero's?

I took it as the Cochran's were a proud American family and they shouldn't get into a fight with a true American Hero (Deegan).   Reread the quote he was responding to.

Edit:  With 13 downvotes I must not be the only one that read it that way.

The dude is from Spain I think so I think it's a bit lost in translation but I took it as the Deegan's are a family that seem very patriotic and getting into a fight with an actual American hero (Cochran's dad being a military man) would hurt the Deegan's image

A lot of spark coming from the 250 class! Time will tell if Deegan is legit or if all the pressure / attention he is putting on himself will prove to be too much. Great time to be a moto fan. Casey was ripping at Millville!
