Your gonna get you some.

Is there some bad blood between ya’ll, or did you get that impression from a 15-second clip? Because you’ve been going in hard on this dude in this thread 🤔
Im not condoning a bonehead move, just wondering your motivations?
Yesss, there’s bad blooood lol
Basically what he did in the 15 second video irritated me and the fact that he was an ass about it. That’s pretty much the motivation for me. Plus I reached out to EVO Suspension and got no response, kind of ticked me off.

Was wondering the same thing from many responses. In the video, the OP totally cut across previous the corner, came out in the wrong gear, took a minute to get going.. it is entirely plausible the other rider expected him to blow the section. Comedy of errors all around and people here are gunning for dude's job because he pointed out the OP was going slow (which he was) and didn't apologize... Kind of bush league.

Welcome to five days ago
That was worse than I was expecting...guy is definitely a dick head. Would have been hard to hold back from fighting on that one.
I was actually on the other side of this situation about a month ago. The track I was at had a section with two high speed doubles. The practice was not split up so it was pretty flooded with slower guys. I came up behind this dude and he was rolling the first double when I spotted him ahead of me. I was coming up on him pretty quick so I planned on just doubling past him on the left of the second jump. As soon as I left the face he starts to move over left while rolling the double. When I landed my front wheel clipped his swingarm and sent me over the bars and the side of his bike HARD. Just fucking piledrove me right into the ground. I laid there trying to get my breath and tried to get up but just could not breathe. I went to his truck after the session and made sure he was ok, still didn't say much not sorry or anything. I dont think some guys even know they are at fault or realize they are going all over the place.
The track owners should not allow that much speed differential on the track at any time. It's just too dangerous, for everyone. Until the insurance companies insist (in writing) that this stuff stops it'll just continue. It's not tough to enforce. Any idiot can see the guys doubling/tripling, whipping, railing ruts, etc and who's not. Just black flag those that don't belong in that practice. They'll learn fast enough to wait their turn. The whole situation is just stupid and doesn't make sense. Why take the chance that anyone could be unnecessary hurt? If I were a track owner and let this stuff happen, I couldn't live with myself.
The only answer is money. I guess if the fast guys don't get their way, they'll pick up their little toys and go to another track that allows them to risk other people's health and livelihood.
Somehow these young kids (10-20?) either don't have school or don't work, something us older generation could never imagine. Who's paying the bills for their trucks, bikes, gear, etc? Daddy and mommy. So, weekday practice is predominately faster/younger riders, and weekends are even worse. So, I get why they (track owners) cater to their wants (get in, put in some fast laps, a couple sessions, and get out). But that's no excuse for putting people at risk.
Even the tracks themselves are catered to the fast guys and the popularity of fake MX (aka SX). I've raced Saddleback, Indian Dunes, Carlsbad, old Elsinore, Sears Point, Hangtown (at Plymouth and Prairie City), both old Marysville's, old Perris and many other natural terrain tracks and although different were just as challenging as any new age SX inspired MX track (with all the manmade jumps, etc). I don't have any hard numbers, but I'd say they were inherently safer for all. What happened over the past 15 years at all levels of competition? Why is it "better" motocross to spend as much time in the air as on the ground now? Again, I think it's catering to those who think/dream they're going to race real SX someday.
My personal goal was to race into my mid-seventies (10 more years). But trying to find a rhythm and flow on tracks built for the new generation rider along with guys flying over your head and cutting you off is getting very difficult, taking all the fun out practicing. Anyway, it is what it is and a few voices here on Vital isn't going to change things one bit.
Just to be clear about the Evo Industries situation…this asshat is one representative of Evo for one area (Western WA). He is not the owner, and at least one (Dan, Eastern WA) Evo location does great work, at a fair price, with very good customer service. I’m guessing most of their locations are like Dan, not this clown.
I have no affiliation with Evo or Dan, other than having had my current bike done by him, with a great experience. Several buddies would say the same. So please feel free to tar and feather this clown, but don’t paint Evo as a whole with that brush.
I have heard many positive things about EVO the company (and the name Dan Moore) over several years.
I have ridden some of his stuff and have friends who use his services although I don't believe I've ever met him.
In a previous post, when people brought up Hayden's sponsors I mentioned that I don't think it's fair to blame a company for his riding and his attitude. How would you feel if your business (or your livelihood) took a hit as a result of one of your co-workers actions on a weekend? Trashing these companies doesn't seem fair, even to me sitting here with a purple / swollen leg.
I haven't read every response on this thread yet, but I've read some that I don't agree with, but I do respect everyone having a right to their opinion. In fact, I came here looking for those opinions. I'm not here to come to this guy's rescue (I have nothing positive to say about him) but I'm also not so sure it's a good thing for the world to show up on his doorstep with pitch forks and torches.
A close friend of his who I have known for several years contacted me asking me to take the video down last week. I said that's a request only Hayden should be making directly to me after a humble apology and a replacement OEM Honda brake lever. I've heard nothing since then.
I'm not going to run it in on this dude in the next practice day and I don't plan to go find him and start a fight either.
I generally try to stay as far away from other riders on the track as I can. I'm no pacifist and I'm not anywhere near being a perfect human but I prefer to avoid conflict and live a peaceful life. It seems easy to me to treat people with respect, be kind, humble and own your mistakes.
I heard Dan is retiring and some random dude from the Tri-city is taking his gig over
dan does excellent work and has always been a great down to earth guy. I watched him race a ton in the early 90s-late 2000s so hopefully it’s just a rumor but we will see
You reached out to the dudes employer over a 15 sec video on a forum 😂 and then mad they didn’t respond to you? Comical
Just because I pulled a squid move does not give you license to try to assassinate me during practice.
Agreed. The EVO out here in PA is run by Jermey, who is an awesome guy that heavily supports local racing and is an excellent suspension tuner. No reason for people to avoid the rest of the EVO locations.

I would have told him the same thing I say when people drive like assholes on the road, I hope their car/bike decides to climb a tree.
Been riding 40 yrs and this been new phenomenon past 5 years I’d say and getting worst. Clearly a generation of stupidity ! Our sport is the only one with out rules because people used to have etiquette cause mom and dad we’re not there and knew the parking lot wasn’t going to be fun. Cross jumping is negligent riding especially at a practice track and should be treated as so. We don’t sign away our rights annd are absolved of liability because we ride moto. Respect each other is priority 1. The sport is dangerous enough without someone misjudging a the situation. This same thing happened on my sight lap. Unfortunately my front brake lever hit his back and lock the from wheel on landing. Caused me to flip over the bar land right side my head herniated c5&c6 disks on left side of my neck. Luckily Im healing and not paralyzed from it. In 40 years this was only 2nd serious injury and it due to cross jumping pricks. My awareness to rider safety needs to be discussed. Track need to start educating rider because common sense is lost. Care for the people around you and remember your not the only one out there!!!!
