Just out of curiosity what ever happened with that frame issue? Did Kawi provide an actual fix for the 24's that were made later and the 25 or did they just sweep that under the rug? Haven't heard or seen anyone have any issues lately so hopefully it's fixed.
Funny you guys mention the water pump. MXA just did that video where they talked about stuff they did to improve the 24 and they also mentioned having to replace the water pump seal.
I don't know if it every really was a problem. You can be sure that if someone found one that failed, it would have been posted here. I haven't heard of any failures.
I installed the OEM accessory engine mounts a week or so ago, and that comfort feel the Kawasaki is famous for is accentuated with these engine hangers. For a Vet B rider, these are definitely a step in the right direction. It makes the bike feel even more planted and increases compliance and front wheel traction. They were a very worthwhile purchase, IMO.

i think there was maybe a handful of bikes that actually had an issue. it wasnt a true "recall" as it was just an "action plan". if you took your bike to the dealership, they patched it with the super putty and if it cracked or still cracks then kawi will replace the frame. but from what i have heard, kawi stopped production for a short amount of time to remedy the frame with the 24 and so on.
Do Rocky Mountain or Motorsport carry them? Couldn’t find them in the oem diagram.
Any Kawasaki dealer can get them for you. Here are the part numbers.

what track or tracks did you ride with the mounts? just want to get an idea if they were rougher style, deeper soil type tracks, or more smooth and fast tracks
So far, nothing real deep or gnarly. I’m racing Lincoln Trail on Sunday, though, so if my opinion changes, I’ll let you know. I’ve only ridden with them a couple times, but so far, so good.
It looks like there is a pretty fair amount of machining that goes into them. That probably explains the price difference.
Economics of scale too, the stock ones are on every bike, the optional ones are optional that 2% of folks will experiment with.

Keefer says in his review that they're "around $100 a set".
Anyone else find that to be true? The stockers list for a good bit more than that and anywhere I've been able to look them up, they all have the same price: $169.02 per side.
Maybe he was basing that assumption off the price of the stock mounts? At any rate, I bet Keefer didn’t pay for his, so he probably doesn’t know.
I read his review and I saw that Keefer thought he had less front wheel traction with the mounts installed. Maybe I’m not fast enough to know the difference, but I felt that the additional small-chop compliance actually made the front end feel more stuck to the ground for me.

Have any of you noticed this bike vibrates more than the previous gen? I have been trying to decrease the vibration! It definitely helps when i keep the revs down but when I'm in a moto it's easy to just let er rip or if i'm doing a long GP it takes its toll.
I was considering trying handlebar anti - vibration inserts. FASTT has them. Reviews seem ehh all over the place!
Ever tried filling the bars with silicone/polyurethane (or something similar)?
I've heard a number of people swear by it and it's a lot cheaper than most other options.
Definitely notice the extra vibration.
I’ve heard you say this before. Maybe it is my Pro Taper bars, but I don’t notice any increased vibration.
I only spun a few laps but I didn't notice any vibration
