I don't know how you loose with Sexton, Plessinger, and Deegan

Coin toss between AP and JCoop. I feel pretty damn good about the team with either guy

Star wasn’t prepared to send one rider last year, not sure how they’ll be ready for two this one.

Anstie I would think would be racing for England. So that's three.

Realistic Team: Sexton, JCoop, Deegan

The Dream Team: Sexton, Eli, Deegan

It would be amazing to take the dream team so Eli could do mxon one last time, but who knows what he's looking like post achilles and new generation bike on mx. No matter who goes, I think as long as Chase and Haiden are there, we will have a good shot at winning. But one thing to think about with Deegan is how will we adapt to the mxgp tracks.

I’d rather jcoop over plessinger. Hopefully tomac comes back at buds and kills it.

Plessinger??  That'd be the losing link.  I say throw Sexton, Deegan, and Hymas.  Who knows what form Tomac will be in, or if he'd even be interested.

Star was fine sending one if we were sending a team that could win.  I respect that since the cost is significant.

Wasn’t it Deegan that didn’t want to go though because it had been such a long season?

He said that initially I guess trying to protect STAR, but the Team has repeatedly (and recently) shared they will always support the race if the Team selected is a winning team.  Last year was not in their opinion, so sending Deegan did not make sense to them with the cost, resources, and injury risk.  I am not saying I agree with them, just sharing the reasons.

I’m taking tomac over anyone but sexton… if he’s healthy, regardless of where he finishes at budds.

Who?

Maybe they should try going to the US so they can get some exposure and escape obscurity.

That's a solid team, probably Australia's strongest team to date. But there will be several other strong teams, France and in my opinion, USA with Chase, Deegs, and Justin Cooper.

The US has there work cut out for them.

I'm Team Netherlands, maybe Herlings, kay de walof and Coldenhoff?? No clue though.

After seeing Herlings getting back up to speed at the MXGP race this weekend. It looks like he's going to be at full speed come Des Nations time. Everybody should be thinking about that. The #84 might just be in position to be the FMOP (fastest man on the planet) again.

I kid,.. but he is going to be cooking come Des nations time. The US has their work cut out for them

tomac, sexton and Deegan would be a pretty steller lineup IMO. would actually anticipate a solid attempt

It's going to be a good one this year that's for sure.

A healthy Herlings is very good at Matterly. Gajser and Prado are also strong at that track.

Which of the current Americans have been there? None I don't think. I know these guys are pros and will learn the track within a few laps. But the current crop of GP guys have been riding Matterly for years, and that has to be an advantage.

I'm rooting for Team America this year though, they need a good result and it's always better for the event when they are in top 3 contention.

I just hope the weather isn't shite!

Cue, outrage from DonM.

Ideal would be Sexton-Deegan-Cooper, but with the issues the past years I expect no Yamaha or Kawasaki riders. So my guess would be Sexton-Savatgy-Plessinger (with the GP Triumph-team doing very well, Savatgy could use one of those bikes).

Netherlands will most likely be Herlings-De Wolf-Vlaanderen. Belgium Geerts-L. Coenen-Everts. France Febvre-Vialle-Renaux. Spain Prado-Oliver-Fernández. Italy Guadagnini-Adamo-Forato. Should get interesting.

Isn’t Swoll performing better than Savatgy? Chase Hymas is seems to be getting stronger too.

Sexton, Cooper, Hymas. I wouldn't rule out Masterpool on a 450.

I'd take Cooper over AP mostly because of his starts but also he has a better history at the MXON

Yeah, currently, but I was just putting some names in. I was wondering which teams would let their riders come over or not. Yamaha and Kawasaki seem no goes in analogy with previous editions. Honda is doubtful, the last time they sent a rider to Europe was Seely in 2017, the last time before that was Tomac in 2014. So I guess the riders will come from the KTM/Husqvarna/GasGas teams, or maybe a Triumph rider because they're doing well in GP's. But if both McLellan and Haarup get selected (McLellan already is), I doubt if they will have a spare bike for either Swoll or Savatgy.

I thought Vlaanderen was South African.
