Berserkers (1) Norse warriors who are reported in the Old Norse literature to have fought in a nearly uncontrollable, trance-like fury, a characteristic which later gave rise to the English word berserk.

Lay it over in the turns where you are going. Keep the rubber side down and your hand on the throttle.

Can't believe it. I just read about the Magoo Van nearing completion and thinking Danny is finally pulling some good karma and then I see this.

God speed and do some killer cross-ups off the clouds.

Just had a reply to my e-mail to Giuseppe Luongo and he is very saddened by Danny's passing and the tragic news about Andrew over the weekend.
He says for sure there will both be a remembered at this weekend's MXGP in Agueda Portugal, and they will plan a fitting tribute to Magoo at Glen Helen USGP in a few weeks time.

The superbiker races were absolute insanity on two wheels. Supermoto is nothing near what the Superbike races were. When I would watch it on Wide World Of Sports it was like watching a gate full of guys w/a straight up death wish.

Wow...What a punch to the gut to read this, this morning.
Some people you think are invincible and Magoo was one of them. God Bless you Danny. You will never be forgotten.

RIP "Magoo"

This is the image that to me defines Magoo. Don't know the shooter but it's a great pic. Got to see Danny race back then. Saw him at Sand Hill in '09. His candle burnt out sooner than some, but at times was blinding. God Speed Brother. Roost In Peace.....

I've just been kicked in the GUT. I loved that guy.

He was amazing in first the National that I ever went to, Lakewood, CO, like

around 1983. Lead the first moto till front wheel locked, then lead second

till Broc Glover t-boned him. Goat Breker won overall. Danny raced second

moto with bruised spleen. He told me during a bench racing session at Hangtown.

Godspeed, moto dude, you are the best.

Sad day. Here's a funny story off Danny's website about some of his recreational jet-skiing activities.

Late 70’s (before Jetco) you (Danny) on your 440 stock Jetski and me on the Kamakasi 474 aka “The Zebra”. Gave lessons to all on the Sac-River and several times skied all the way up the American to Nimbus Dam. We had to walk the skis up a few thin rapids. The infamous day comming back down and Im gonna quote ya. “I’m gonna roost every F–N rafter on the way back” Every one Danny? “Yeah, NO F–N Mercy” I have never laughed so hard in all my life. How bout them poor Fux eatin lunch and rolling J’s? I can still hear em screamin NO! No! No! Blasted a few of them right out their raft……

Man....this hits really hard. I have been trying all morning to write something to convey my thoughts and feelings, but its just to hard right now. Danny meant so much to me, in the early years after our accidents we spent a lot of time together, some really hard and heavy times, and some really great times.

Those early years were really tough, and we helped each other get through those trying times. We both were going through something that if you havent been there, you just cant relate, There were times when we both just wanted to give up, spent many nights sitting there crying and asking one another how the hell do we get through this? But we did it, we both went through a period of time that was so dark and scary, but with the love and support from family and friends, we made it.

Last night was such a roller coaster, i went from being so stoked to announce that the van so many people had worked so hard on was nearing completion, to only minutes later getting the news Danny had passed.

I know that Danny would not want us to morn and be down, but rather celebrate the good things he did accomplish, not only on a motorcycle, but the great things he strived for after.

There will never be another "Magoo" he was truly one of a kind. I can only think he is in a better place, and reunited with his father who he loved and shared so much with.

GodSpeed Magoo

Gone, but will never be forgotten.

Hang in there ocscottie, I'm sure this really hits you hard. Rest assured though that all of the support that you and Danny's other friends gave him were a blessing to both parties. Bad Brad is definetly "Good as Gold" on this deal too. The wildman will be missed by all.

Danny's ex wife Tracy, my brother and Danny's long time friend and ex wrench Billy D are in Yuba and should be making arrangements soon. As soon as I get the info I will pass it along...................Probably in a new thread.

Wow. Just wow.

This one hits hard, especially after the week we've had. I've looked up to Magoo from the first time I saw him ride back in the late 70s. He was one of the most talented, wildest and innovative riders to ever swing a leg over a bike. RIP Magoo. You, will truly be missed.

Scottie: I'm sorry for your loss of such a good and inspirational friend. From the sound of it you help each other immensely.

Hang in there my friend, I'm here for you anytime you need me.
