Are you looking for someone to just rebuild it  or someone to rebuild it and find some extra juice out of it?

Terry “Takes His Time” Varner

Heard of you send him a motor now, you may or may not get it in time for Loretta’s 2028. If you have Tony Alessi send it, you’ll have it back in a day flat

I heard if Tony puts the word in Terry will actually fly to your home to do the work. 😂

For a simple rebuild you don't need to go to a hop up place, let alone ship it. There's gotta be a ton in So Cal.

I like Boyko as well and he does cranks in house. (And yes, he does all sorts of machining and porting.) So if your rebuild needs a crank, that is a plus.

Who is the guy Jay Clark uses? Brad something? Let me look . .. found it, yeah, Brad ParaPros racing. @parapros

Boyko. Say no more. West coast Tom Morgan quality (IMHO). Slightly more cantankerous than Tom, but good work

Probably don't want to hear it, but is this not something you're willing to tackle yourself? They're extremely easy, minus maybe a little bit of awkwardness getting the transmission back in the case. Even then, there's a 3D printed jig out there to assist with that.

That jig works great !
I can’t remember the name of the mfg (on YouTube ) but they make an alum one as well

I opted for the 3d printed and it’s great

If you can’t find anyone closer to you we can get it done for you

This will turn into a 10 page thread complaining about Terry Varner.

Appreciate all the feedback, decided to go with Andrew Langston in Murrieta rec. by Jay Clark

I split the cases last March on a rare nice day. I had trouble getting the fly wheel nut off . It was never off. I had the engine on its side finally the nut broke loose . I tilt the engine up right and I hear parts falling out . I,m like oh oh what was that. Then I had the vise grip looking tool to hold the clutch basket. That dam nut wouldn’t come off. I ended up breaking a tooth off the basket. It only has maybe 5 hrs on it. I pulled all the gears out .  I didn’t expect soo many washers and etc. it going to be a long process to get it together. Looks like I won’t hv the money this yr.  Only 1 shop in the area and he charges a lot of money. No time or money to get it together. This is the DBP mod bike. Flustrating but what can u do.

Man, I wish I had had this when I was rebuilding the kid's mini and 125 motors.  While it was simple enough without it, I was always fiddling and had an insecurity reassembling (I am not very mechanical compared to many), but this would have saved me time, and for $30, it definitely seems worth it!

That thing is friggin genius.  I would do something similar but with many rubber bands.
