Looks like you guys will have an extra rider to cheer on in the GP as Bud Racing announced he's to ride for them in Portugal GP MX2. Can anyone give us a bit of history on the guy? He's apparently recommended by Troy Lee and he's18 that's about it. Is he made of the same stuff as Baggett, Wilson, Barcia or we shouldn't expect too much?

Heard he is on his way to europe right now. I think he will be top 7 outdoors, he's got the fitness and he also has good equipment so i think he will do fine

He won the 250b stock class last year at LL. Barcia,Tomac, Wilson, and Baggett are couple steps above him right now. He ( may have had some help from Champion) broke his leg really bad a couple years ago and had to take a lot of time to heal up. Top 10s in the GP's would be great for him. I am guessing around 10-15 place but who knows.

Sounds like a level-headed kid. Looks pretty controlled on the bike. I wish him luck and hope he stays healthy. I'd love to give that track a go...good old school gnar with NO crazy jumps. I suffer from a severe lack of testicular fortitude when it comes to big jumps.

he beat edward allingham (who he'll be racing in portugal) in one of the craziest loretta classes of 2009.... probably the only guy he's faced previously

I think the kid is a tremendous talent, but what has he done to make you think he will be top 7 outdoors? Which 10 of these guys is he going to beat every week"

Weimer, Pourcel, Tickle, Hahn, Wilson, Baker, Wharton, Anstie, Stroupe, Baggett, Barcia, Rattray, Tomac, MetCalf, Davalos, Izzi, Futrell, Durham

Inspired ride at LLs last year after a first lap crash to win a B title, but top 7 in the outdoors is a stretch.

Stephane and the guys a Bud Racing are awesome! Hope he does well there. They displayed one of their 250Fs in our pit in Belgium 2 years ago, it was pretty trick!

Watched him at REM a few Saturday's ago. Kept Tickle behind second moto for the first half of the race.

Dont get me wrong, I'm rooting for the kid big time. I have not watched him ride so I may be completely wrong. I know he is going fast, I just think top 7 for any of this year's or any other years rookies is a stretch.

If he doesnt crash, he'll be top 5.

Top 5 overall for the season at the Nationals? Top 5 at the GP? Care to make a friendly wager? Not falling is part of racing.

his class finishes at oak hill (the last amateur national he competed in) were 4th, 6th and 8th...... racing in portugal is whole different experience as well

i just hope he rides to the best of his ability, enjoys himself and learns from the experience..... hopefully he won't get caught up in all the magic 8-ball predictions and perhaps he'll come back when he's got a bit more pro racing under his belt

a top 5 finish in his first ever pro race, on a totally new continent, on a track he's never ridden before, on a bike he'll have barely tested, let alone it being a different brand from his usual honda..... no pressure then

You are saying a rookie who has never raced any national level pro races in the US is going to hop on over to Portugal and put it in the top 5?

Zach Osbourne has been at the GP's for a couple of years and is a top 5 guy.

Ddavis must be on some good og kush or something. Leib is a great rider, but you would have to be higher than snoop dogg to think he will be top 5. Top 15 would be great for him in the GPs.

I see Aubin is moving up to MX1, so is this a one off race deal for Lieb or is he going to contest the remainder of the season?

kid has some speed, but top 10 is not even an option.

he got worked at all the am nationals this year. he wasn't even close to Anderson and/or Tomac.

And then some stars shine later then others too.

I have never seen him ride and look forward to seeing what he can do.

Top 20 would be a great start / goal

Who knows...

But one thing is sure : Aubin won't race in MX2 anymore...

We only throw out expectations and mere predictions...he could meet those or he could totally surpass them and podium. The guy trains hard and has a good attitude and truthfully that's half the battle. Anything's possible so we'll have to see on raceday how much he wants it and if he can hang with the likes of the Lites class favs...

I remember another picture of Leib on a 65, stretching out over some massive gap in an old transworld or racerx. One of the craziest pictures of I've ever seen. I'm sure his dad knows which one I'm talking about. Definitely had one of the best styles on a mini bike I have ever seen.
