When Chase puts the Hammer down he’s much faster than Hunter. Hunter is easily the most consistent of top 3 but in all out speed he is 3rd especially in second motos.

So why/how did Hunter smoke Chase in moto 1? Did Chase not want to drop the hammer too soon?

What are you talking about?? He didn't say "when Chase WANTS to put the hammer down..." he said "when Chase puts the hammer down..." Reading comprehension is a lost art on this forum

Obviously every rider would love to ride to 100% of their ability all the time but that doesn't happen. Same thing applies to when Tomac goes Beast Mode. When Chase is comfortable and the bike is working well he runs a pace that Hunter is incapable of matching and idk how anyone could argue otherwise. Remember what he did to Hunter in Moto 2 at Hangtown?

Exactly. The Lawrence fans have short term memory.  What ever they’re putting in those Hondas off the start is insane

This isn't as close as it seems to some. Chase has won a SX championship, but only because of two riders leading him were injured. Jett, on the other hand, is a championship devourer racking them up in multiples. That Chase can beat him in an isolated race or moto, is no big deal. Jett is mature beyond his age and knows the war matters, not the battles. Hate to say, with Prado coming, Deegan and Kitchen, moving up soon, Chase's championship days are winding down.

Chase has won a sx title. Period. You don't need the "but blah, blah, blah." He was the sx champion. Deegan is for real, no doubt. Kitchen? LoL Chase will put 30sec on him. Prado will be trouble in mx. He'll never touch Chase in sx

Chase seemed to of had another gear that second moto, he really turned it on and obviously felt much more comfortable hanging it out then Jett did. Chase looks like an absolute bull dog on the bike you can tell the dude is big and strong and obviously very durable.

The MRI thing with Jett is weird, Red Bull could literally put him in an MRI after that race if he wanted it. Also he might as well say he is not 100% after he gets beat why wouldn't you.

I think end of SX if you told Chase that at this point in the year he would be tied with Jett for second a couple points behind first he would be happy with that.

WTF is with the desire to put asterisks on everything???  Chase only won because...  The points are only like this because...  Blah Blah Blah.

You race, everyone lines up at the same gate and crosses the same finish line.  Some guys fall, some guys get hurt (hate that), some guys are better in hardpack others in sand.  Sometimes a guy has a mechanical...  You can only race who lines up to race you and you finish where you cross the line.

Enjoy that it's competitive this year, 3 points among the top 3 and almost half way?  LOVE IT!!

Saying Sexton won SX because of injuries is like saying Lawrence won the Nats because of a depleted field and mostly B league riders. You have to be in it to win it.

We have a very interesting dynamic with all three of the top 450 riders being former team mates
They all know quite a bit about each other
All three are within 3 points
Jett only ever looks back when its Chase coming up on him
Jett was riding hurt but that is part of the game
Chase admitted he was riding the track incorrectly in the first moto
Basically we watching history this summer and its awesome

Lol, by that logic Jett only won his outdoor championship because Tomac, Roczen, Chase, etc. were all injured

I said it time & time again & I’ll keep it saying it 😂 those who discredit chase’s titles whether it was last yr with Eli & coop or back in 250s with forkner , are the same ppl who discredited dunge’s  titles , no matter if ur naturally gifted , fast or just steady eddy , u gotta stay in it to win it baby 👌🏾

I'm hoping this is a learning lesson for Sexton. Take a play from the Tomac playbook and run with it. Sexton knows he has the fitness. Stay close to the Aussie boys, find the lines that work best for you and then drop the hammer at the 15-18 minute mark. Tomac has a great outdoor career racing this game plan. JMO

The point is Jett is a winner of multiple championships, Chase is not. That is indisputable. Of course you have to be in it to win it, but two riders were leading Chase in his only championship year until becoming injured within a few races from the end of the season, again indisputable.

"jEtT cAn dO tHiS fOr 1000 LaPs gUyS" - JT. Sounding like a moron fanboy for the millionth time. Then Sexton smokes them all 2nd moto.

Prado is a question mark, new bike , new tracks.  Very few guys come across and are up to speed right away.

Deegan is blazing but nothing says he can ride a 450 with that same style and not hit the deck, and kitchen wouldn't be close as of now.

I am not saying those riders will beat him Sexton, the point is he is not winning championships at this point, why would he when additional fast riders enter the class. Of course he is fast, but Chase has been in the class years now, winning races yet not championships save for one.
