It's easy (at least at the moment) Sexton MX1, Deegan MX2, Justin Cooper MX3 with AP as an alternate

I thought Star Yamaha wasn't sending riders to MXoN ?

Masterpool might be a good choice. He can ride either a 450 or a 250.

Chase is the obvious choice. Deegan would be the next obvious pick, but that’s dependent on him. Last year he was offered the spot and turned it down. The 3rd pick probably goes to Jcoop. He’s been the most consistent and fastest of all the other riders.

Coker said in an interview the other day, they are looking forward to MXoN this year.

Why no 38?

Recency bias? Deegan declined last year. Why would he go this year?

I’d put RJ in MX3 so fast it would make your head spin…oh…& I’d build him a one-off 350 that’s virtually below min-weight.

I’d send Ty on a White PC Kawi reminiscent of Johnny O’s Mugen and I’d have Fox make some Johnny’O Mugen era gear complete with gators. Why? Because, we can! 

Chase? I’d bet him he can ride “laps of perfect form” and not give a flying F about speed or position…and he’d crush it. The bet would be “the usual”…$1. 

Ultimately, my other perfect team would be 4, 7, 24…but; are we gonna put the whole thing on KTM Group…? 

I see no reason why it shouldn’t be this team 

JCoop, Sexton, and Deegan easy. And that's a solid team. Deegz is going to give them the business

That team can Win. 

That would be a PR nightmare for Star, Yamaha, and Monster is they refuse again.

I'd like to see Tomac come back for the last few Nats and show his stuff, but I'm not sure if the team will be picked before then or delayed. 

Deegan and Chase are obvious, but I'll tell you, I think Justin Cooper is riding awesome. We also got Ty who has shown he can rip on both the 250 and 450. 

i always saw usa as the most patriotic country, the pride on the flag, the military, the anthem.......

but being a follower of american motocross as chanced my view......all this patriotism is if usa wins, if not its just a shitshow of lies and excuses to not be on a team that could loose.....yamaha had no budget for this race, star had no interest in this race, americans shouls get payed, this race is a rip off.... every one had its own excuse for not sending deegan to france, and the other 2 best americans.....now after all it looks like yamaha and star were ok with racing it and it was "captain america" and the others that didnt want to risk a loss....

the weird part of this for me, is that the normal american fans are just like the riders, they will use all those bullshit lies and excuses to not show proper support to those racers that actually go race and represent usa, when the best dont want to go...... and will ditch them as soon as any of the top 3 show personal interest to race it.....

so the american hero only exists while the normal john doe can share the glory of his feat......

As long as Roger is managing the US MXON team I wonder if it will it be somewhat of an "expectation" that Chase goes if healthy now that he is on KTM?   

In terms of 450s, two riders willing to get smoked by Jett...again. 

Star's side of the story (true or false) is as follows: Star said yes to Deegan racing with the stipulation the team was given enough time to prepare properly. The search committee failed to meet the assigned deadline. The rest is history.

USA should make a statement and only send Deegan.

With Cooper's starts it will be like he was at Red Bud on the 250.  He'll be near the front and only a few will be fast enough to get past him.  

The other 2?  Best we have and make up a team that should podium.

 

As mentioned, maybe true or false...not sure any one really knows. I am not aware any one is at fault...just the nature of the sport (timelines, etc.). For the record, Roger is a national treasure!
