Message to the Deegan haters

Now this is a hot take and an original thought. 

You know...when my kids do something I don't like...that doesn't mean I hate them.

I have eyes...I can see that Deegs is something special on the bike.  I'm not a fan of the "persona" they're cultivating but that's their deal so whatever.

I have never rooted against any rider...even Hannah who was kinda similar.  (Huge Marty fan).  

As long as the kid keeps backing up his smack...well that's ok I reckon.

The non-moto people here obviously don't go the races...He is very popular. At Daytona alone my wife asked me what was going on because the crowd was going ballistic following him around the track. The Deegans couldn't give a fat F what a few haters think.

My message to Brian is don't you dare change anything. Real moto people love the kid just as he is.

He's not my favorite rider. Not even close. Plus I'm not really a Star Racing fan of the team either.

 But I have to say, if he's our next hope at challenging Jett in a couple years rather than Jett having a 4 or 5 year run of dominance. Then I'm pulling for Deegan. Because he just may be that guy!!

Noted, I just booked an appointment with my psychiatrist to discuss Deegan's upcoming wins and its effect on my sanity. Hopefully I don't get put back on meds.

He's living up to the hype, outstanding start to the season and he's super fun to watch. We all know he works hard and has a boat load of talent.

He still sounds like a dickhead when he starts spouting off with zero respect for anyone else though.

I don't hate him at all, I don't root against him, I don't have a problem with him saying whatever he wants, that is his right and so far he's backing it up too.

It's hilarious how if someone thinks it would be cool for him to be the slightest bit humble or show a little bit of respect for his competitors, they're labelled a hater 😂

bold take that the person who has won every overall will do well this year. If you're somehow right, and he continues to win, you should play the lotto.

I agree on the MX front. I hope he can translate this to SX this next season because last season he didn’t have the speed when all the players were there.

In reality, it's people like the OP who need the therapy. 

Most of us just simply watch, and enjoy the Saturday of racing.

Then move on with life until the next race comes along.

It's the same for the Lawrence's...if you don't love, adore, and praise everything they do...you're a hater.  I'm not a big fan of sweet potatoes but I don't hate 'em and I certainly don't hate people that dig 'em.  Hate is poison for the soul.  I can roll my eyes and say wtf without a shred of hate.  Unless, I misunderstood the definition of hate my whole life.

I like him on a bike but take the helmet off I'm not a fan.

Kid can ride that's for sure no denying that and loves to stir the pot.
