That proves my point further.....So you think Mitch or Bobby Regan would be happy with him finishing between Hunter Yoder and Geran Stapleton? They were 14th and 15th in Denver for example.
Note: Nothing against those two, just not factory level
This exactly, It's widely known he wants to be in Texas and that has worked for basically no-one in the past 10 years. He needs to be in FL at the sandbox (or similar) or in CA with some Team driving him every day. That is what it takes now. The days of being able to reach that level solo (unless you're Tomac) are behind us.
I do think SMX is changing things slightly. Factory teams need riders in the playoffs in both classes and outdoors gives them 22 rounds versus 17 to earn points. But SX is and will stay cash king unfortunately which is wild as outdoors is so much more entertaining.
This is a self fulfilling prophecy. If teams don't want to hire a guy unless they can keep them close and have some control over them that's certainly their choice, but there's nothing special about Florida or California that necessitate a guy train there. How many guys were training in Carolina 15 years ago?

DeCal Works Huge Plastic Inventory of UFO and Polisport kits.
Has nothing to do with control. He could go ride at Club (Carolina), Sandbox (not a Team and if they would let him), or a number of other places where he is riding with others at the highest level. I mean, how has it been working for him so far? Time to level up or shut up
Shouldn't this apply just as much to outdoors though?
ML has a photo of his dad talking to the team manager at Triumph
No
I agree, but I also said he'd be top 15 depending on the coast he rides right off of the bat. I see him building and being a consistent top 10 guy in the next season or two. Mitch has taken bigger gambles that haven't paid off as well... just my .02 cents
Breaking news...Just inked him to a contract for this weekend on my fantasy team! Mitch is a tough negotiator but we sealed the deal. 😎
Skip the podium part I said! Just went straight for the win! What a legend let’s go!!!!
Amazing ride! Congrats to Ty and the Masterpool family! and props to Mitch for giving him the chance and getting 300!
I guess I got lucky 😎
A lot of people said he was only doing good because the 450 field was "weak" last year, pretty sick to see him getting that one done. Hopefully he can build on that and maybe even make it work in SX aswell. What a race man!
Let's go babyyy. This should ink a multi-year contract 🇺🇸💯
Ty rider of the year- to go from Star to privateer to PC and win a moto is unheard of..
I asked earlier in this thread “what does Ty have to do to get signed next year to a factory ride?” And I think we just saw him do that.
Mitch Payton-“ We can work with speed”
Pit Row
That was so cool to see. Mitch getting his 300th win on Fathers Day weekend after the loss of his Dad. And to have Ty be the rider to get it was extra cool to see. Hope this turns into some momentum.
Mitch is a good guy and with this win with everything mentioned above. If Ty can keep it in the top 6 the rest of the season. Hell find the money to keep hom on for at least next year.
I was one of them. Happy to eat some crow.
Good for him!!
Amazing with the talent he signs and Masterpool is the guy coming through for him. And last couple years Jo with the results over the hand picked guys. Cool that he is loyal to his guys but time to clean house and go with some new faces
So awesome for Ty, he deserves that one!
Numero uno!
I get it but Cam, Levi, and Austin won SX races this year and had red plates. Now you have Ty winning outdoors.
4 of 6 PC riders have now won on the bike this year. That’s pretty impressive.
That was awesome. Ty killed it.
He Earned that one.
So happy for the kid, I was literally cheering out loud in my living room for him.
That’s what i was thinking to, fill in guy getting the 300th win deserves a one year contract at the minimum.
Story of the weekend. What a great race. Congrats to Ty, Mitch, & the whole PC team
