If I read correctly, Chase is at 90 and Jett at 66? If Jett wins out and Chase finishes 2nd to him at the remaining rounds, what do the points look like at the end of the season?
Your computer/phone calculator broken?
Jett would be 30 points ahead of Chase at the end of the season in your scenario.
2 races in is way too early for mathematics 🥴
Jett at 516 if he wins the remaining 18 motos.
Chase at 486 if he finishes second in the remaining 18 motos.

TY, I guess he still needs more help, for some reason I thought it would have been closer.
Also if they finish like that moving forward, it will take 8 motos until they are tied in points. So that would make them tied after RedBud.
Lets hope they go back and forth over the final 9 races to make the race to the championship go down to the wire!!
And hope we get some surprise wins from others as well!!
The glazing continues... Jett is clearly hurt and was 7 seconds slower per lap after half way in the 2nd moto. Kid isn't going to come out next week and win motos. He's going to be laid up all week not riding. He could barely walk after the race..
I gave a quick assessment and some scenarios to think about here: https://www.vitalmx.com/forums/moto-related/early-math-falcon-2024-mx-e…
I think the record for consecutive 1-2’s in outdoors might have been in 05. I think Ricky and Kevin went 1-2 from Thunder Valley to GH. 12 motos.
Which, is most likely what it will be. Hunter may get in and beat Chase a few times, so I estimate Jett will win by about 35-40 points.
Dang, I know Dungey and Alessi had something similar going on in 2012.
WTF is glazing?
Is that what happens to you when you're alone and think about Tomac too much?
After careful calculations, here's the definitive answer! 👨🎓
If Jett wins 13 of the remaining motos and Chase wins 5, as long as the other finishes 2nd in each moto, they end the season tied and Jett wins the title based on more wins... Both with 501 points.
Weedge is so pissed about this thread.....
....."to over-praise and over-compliment.....
'Glazing' has now trickled over from the Twitch stream chats and into the TIkTok comments, but what does it mean? To 'glaze' someone would mean to over-praise and over-compliment them, similar to – as Urban Dictionary puts it – 'dickriding' and being a 'kiss-ass'".......
Thanks Google......
Pit Row
Unless Hunter wins all the races, and the other two falter.
I doubt Jett will be at 100% this week and anything less than 100% fitness it would be incredibly unlikely he beats Chase. Not with the confidence Chase has atm.
But the math above says he needs to win 13 more motos if Chase finishes second and wins the other 5.
So hopefully Jett can atleast take 2-2 this week (or better yet split moto wins with Chase) to keep that scenario alive. I cant see Chase finishing worse than second without a couple of crashes in a moto. But if Jett cant push for a whole moto. He might fall off the podium.
At :50 secs in
Sexton really needs to back up last week by going 1-1.
He won’t
He might, Sexton showed a level of speed that will be hard for anyone to match even Jett. If he has the confidence and a bike he believes in, this championship is far from decided.
Jett’ll go 1-1, Chase probably 3-2.
Jett’s not 100% but he hasn’t ridden at 100% yet anyway, so if he’s at 65-70%, he’ll go 1-1. Chase is riding at about 100 - 110%.
Jett may have lingering issues from the crash. The second moto will be the hardest for him.
A lot of people don't realize that the motocross season is much longer than the SX season. Its 22 main events. Plus its a lot more time on the bike too. 30 + 2 versus 20 + 1. Even with a few Triple Crowns. Hopefully the entertainment will stay at a high level, lots of racing to go. Championship is up for grabs for now. That can change quickly.
If Jett’s not winning the entertainment value will be high. But he will be back to winning next week. Wish vs reality,
Say it again Chase's starts need to improve because the Honda's are dialed out of the gate! Know he is far from stock but the stock KTM 450 comes out of the gate so easy you would think that would be magnified on the factory bike but could be Chase's engine package or setup? AP's starts seem much more consistent.
I would blame the hydro clutch but I think he was on one at Honda?
