Though I hope Trump wins considering the other choice, there’s one thing I’ll never wrap my brain around. Why do people act like he’s the second coming of the messiah? Obsessed? Handing over money to a billionaire like they’re tithing on a Sunday. I’m not saying all but, I think just as many Trump followers are brainwashed as Biden followers are.

I've known 3 people - quite closely, that have gone into high level Politics.
All getting to State level.
2 were friends, one I dueled with in our High School years in Debating right up to National level - she could debate on matters with 'equivalency' no matter her feelings - my failing was I could not do so as well. She did her stint in our States Parliament, and got eaten alive by career politicians , some of which ended up in jail. We disagree on a fair few points, but, I wish she had kept at it - she's a brilliant, fair minded person, with care and interest in others, not just herself.
One other, a bit of a time server, with plenty of money behind her - seems the near perfect description for a politician -'plenty of money behind him or her'- but, she's neither here nor there, in my mind. Meh.
One a complete F**wit, that from the word go, was just entirely interested in himself, and Only himself - the p**k is still in NSW Parliament, involved in a money making section of legislation that is a just a leaching on society. The bloke's the most 'bent' individual I have ever met. And, he is in a party that I am (slightly) more attuned to.
A few years ago, I joined the three main parties. Something each of them would not be happy with, but hey, they took my dues - the only money I've ever put into political parties. It was / is useful to get a bit of 'behind the scenes' info, and not just rely on the press, in all it's various permutations.
But donate to any politician, especially a "Billionaire", of Any political 'leaning' ?- No Bloody Way.

April 18th is a pretty important day also. Not taking into account for local, sales and property taxes but, that's about the day that you work till just to pay your taxes for the year. Now if you take into account our other taxes.....
Eventually you start working for money you get to keep and spend on what you want. I guess if there's anything left after inflation eats it all away.
I hate it. I pay on average more to the IRS than most two income families gross in a year so it pisses me off to no end. I get zero back on that investment other than paying for some political pawn to own a cell phone and get a plane ticket.
