Those last two made all the others seem easy. Not that the others weren't dangerous but dang, close to 100,000 foot parachute jump?

He would have slowed down once he got low enough for the wind resistance to have an effect

"On Aug. 16, 1960, Kittinger set the world's record (which remains unbroken) for the longest (19.5 miles) and fastest (4 minutes and 36 seconds) skydive. He reported his experience in National Geographic. His epic dive started from a helium balloon that he floated to an altitude of 102,800 feet (31,330 m). This high, the sky is black and the Sun intense."

Yeah but even at that speed his chute would not have ripped because there would have been less wind resistance. When he was at 90,000 feet, he was probably already going around 1000 km/hr, but if he had deployed his chute it may not have even opened because there's no air to catch it.

He would be traveling at terminal velocity the whole time, so when he finally deployed it, he was probably going at the same speed anyone else would have been traveling at that altitude.

As my parting shot before I die, I want to combine #2 with #1. Jump out at 100,000 over North America and use my wing suit to end up in Brazil, or something like that.

red bull is trying to break that record this year with the red bull stratos, plus the guy will try to break the sound barrier with his body

I would have a full blown panic attack if someone threw me into the #1 jumps position. That made the palms of my hands sweaty just watching it.

Tri-Racer27, you should totally do that! That would be INCREDIBLE!
