Deegan was actually pretty damn good and consistent outdoors last year

After typing that I checked out his results from last year and yeah they were more consistent than I remember!

It’s going to be a dog fight! My money is on Kitchen!

Vialle

Shimoda

Kitchen

deegan will steal some wins, and so will swoll.  Swoll might be top 5 at seasons end.  He seems to be gellin with the triumph so I look for him to do well.

If I were going to place a bet it would be Deegan or Vialle

It would be cool if we see the red plate jumping around all season

Vialle is good but he didn’t win those two mxgp titles as much as jago lost them.

I think we are in for a good summer in 250s. Vialle, Deegan and Kitchen are my favorites.

I legitimately have no idea - this season could turn out to be amazing. If I had to bet money, I'd probably put it on Deegan... he seems to be a momentum guy, and he's riding some pretty good momentum as of late. He was consistently as fast as anybody except maybe Hunter Lawrence towards the end of last year's MX season, and I think his technique recently in SX has looked more sound than it did in 2023. It doesn't seem like he's mindlessly pinning it everywhere like he did at times during his rookie season.

I also think Vialle will be great, especially if he gets good starts. I expect more of the same from Shimoda - race winning speed, but inconsistency that will ultimately keep him from a title.

Reneaux won because Tom was hurt, That is the only reason. Plus Jago was a bit second hand that year as well.

5 guys have a legitimate shot for the championship. And all 5 our coming in planning on winning as well as their teams. Deegan, Vialle, Kitchen, RJ and Shimoda could all win it. My money is on either Deegan or Vialle but would not be shocked at all if one of the other guys won it. If someone outside of those 5 wins it. That will be a surprise.

Not saying he isn’t good,  but geerts should have won both of those titles without choking.

250's will be competitive all summer long.

I like Jo to win, with Vialle, Deegan, RJ and Levi all very close to the top.

Hope to see Forkner racing. That guy is also very fast...........

Thinking R J's  got a extra boost of confidence and will use a little more discretion for the title either way  he will make the Pinellas and Pasco boys proud.

Should have…..Thats why Vialle has 3 MX2 titles (2xMX,1xSX) and Jago zero!

Vialle seems to be the heavy favorite in this thread but it's looking like Deegan is on another level so far.  I know, we are only 3 motos in and it's a long season, but Deegan is the standout so far.  And, no one mentioned Hymas in this thread but he's showing some speed too.

I was glad to see Cochran as the top qualifier today.  I hope Cochran, Beaumer, and Bennick will work their way toward the front soon as well.

Too bad Savatgy's bike blew let go...

Thumbs down are great, embrace them.  It means you are doing something right.

After today it like it might be a Deegan vs Vialle show with a little Kitchen and Hymas sprinkled in.

Deegan's is just so driven. He sure seems like he trains harder than anyone else. His fitness is next level especially at this stage in his career.

Deegan does not look winded at the end of the motos, at all...

Pure domination from Deegan so far, not many saw this coming but we'll see what happens at Southwick.  Gotta love how moto throws curve balls...everyone was thinking it would be Vialle and Deegan show with some Kitchen sprinkled in, and now it's looks like Deegan domination with some Hymas and Masterpool sprinkled in.  I expect Masterpool to be up front now that he knows he can do it.

Domination would be 22-0,

Let's just say he's riding stronger and faster than the others, most of the time.
