Damn, I rode there in september. Track was fun, it had a couple big jumps, and a little rhythm section that the novice riders were having a hard time with. I wonder where on the track it happened.

If you have ever been exposed to the death of a young one in motocross, you know what it's like. You can never forget it- it rips through your soul like knife through butter. There is almost nothing worse.

Wyatt was a cool little dude. nobody really saw exactly what happened but apperently he overshot a table top and injured his head. He was on life support for 2 days but i think he lost all brain activity Sunday night. RIP Wyatt!!

My heart goes out to his family. I almost lost my son to a Traumatic Brain Injury at the end of December. I was there watching and not riding, as I was recovering from shoulder surgery, and saw the whole thing happen. I was the first person to get to him and had to initiate the call to 911. He was in coma for almost three days but is now well on his way to what will hopefully be a full recovery. Only time will tell just how far he will recover so we wait. It has been about a month and a half since his crash and I still feel myself about to break down and cry when the crash will flash before my eyes out of the blue.

With the support of his family and his extended motocross family those that loved him will get through this trying time. He will live on in there memories.

Godspeed Wyatt and to your family, keep the faith and except the support offered by those around you.

Wait, isn't NC the state that recently introduced a bill that would require separation of big bikes and little bikes? You can guarantee that with this, that bill will have a much higher chance of passing and made into law.
I seem to remember it was NC, but I am not totally positive.

My deepest sympathies to the family and friends of Wyatt. My son and I were there that day and left about a half hour before his crash. I heard about it on Sunday night and didn't sleep a wink the entire night.

The jump where he crashed was a very easy tabletop with a very safe (non steep, almost rounded) take off. I was very surprised the hear that that was where it happened. The track was splitting up big bikes and small bikes all day, big bikes by themselves and 85s and 65s together.

Every time I see one of these "notices" I swear I ain't looking at them, but here I am, teary eyed with a huge lump in my throat.

About the only thing I hate about this sport is that it doesn't differentiate between young and old. Yeah, it's a bummer when one of us old guys go...but a kid? Not acceptable. I wish it couldn't happen.

so very sad news. god speed little man. i will be having a live interview tonight on mxresultz.com. i will have a moment of silence for wyatt. as for i will wear his number this season with honors. god bless his family and friends as he will be missed but not forgotten.

This sport has been a part of my life since I was 8 years old (and I'm 46 now). But, I've basically been throwing rocks at it for the last 3 years or so. Fuck it, I'm over it. The sport out grew me, or left me, or somthing. You guys can have it now....
