I agree he kept it together pretty well for the most part this year, but that was clearly him rocking his bike back and forth and moving it out of the path of the rut before the start tonight, right? Must have been who JT and others were talking about a few weeks ago.
He's 33 yrs old. Been around a long time. He's never been a top guy in the sport, but he also hasn't lost that edge or drop off as much as some riders do. Especially from the 28 yr old to 32 yr old span. And is still able to get great starts.
I honestly think he's gotten the most of the talent he has.

Yep, but because he doesn’t bro down with pulp or swap he doesn’t get the credit. A-Ray, Cade, Noreen and others get praise and then the only time they talk about Vince is when JT needs to get some jabs in, while Vince is flirty with the top 10 and those guys are consistently in the lcq
His consistency has improved greatly this year.
He started at least 1/3 bike length off the gate yesterday, directly to Jett's left. I interpreted it as a signal to Jett that he wasn't going to jack with Jett's start. Could be completely wrong though, could have been a technique to swing around the rut on the launch.
Good catch, giving Jett and Chase some space...
He still got a decent start, 8th place after first corner
Pretty much always the TOP non factory rider every week for awhile now
Nice to see VF racing forward, getting good results, and staying away from the problems
Right before that they showed him looking like he was rocking the bike back and forth. I think he always starts a little behind the gate? What he was doing looked like what they were talking about a few weeks ago so was just curious if anyone else noticed or had a better view of it?
I'm a Friese fan and when I saw him between Chase and Jett on the line I couldn't help but to think he was going to mess it up. Classy move by him to give those guys the space
He always turns his bars to the stops right before the gate drops, must be his pre gate warm up, but it's an interesting routine.
Interesting. Perhaps he wants to distract his competitors?
Or practicing turning into his competitors?
He always starts that far back and in 3rd gear.
Yeah like Farmer said above, Freise has often started well back from the gate. Alessi used to do it too.
But it does seem Freise”s deliberately not been getting into it with the top guys as much as he has in the past.
Post a reply to: Props to Freise
