An RN outranks an EMT/medic inside a facility providing care. Outside, dealing in prehospital medicine, a regular RN does not outrank an EMT. For that matter, most doctors do not outrank EMTs either(pre-hospital). There are great providers across all levels of care but they have to be trained in prehospital care.

Dr. John Bodnar runs the Asterisk medical unit at the races. He is an emergency room specialist and motocross rider. I know Doc Bodnar and have been treated by him in the past.

And what basis do you have for saying a RN "outranks" an emt? Under what circumstances?
If I am in an accident and I had to chose between an experienced emt or an RN that might work anywhere besides an er or icu, I would quickly ask you to step aside.
What if an emt saw you doing something they think is improper? Is it their job to tell you?
The more important question is.....what are their Vital Fantasy league ratings?
