If you stop trying to make these people into something that they aren't, you have a better time! I enjoy listening to Pulp, Matthes does a pretty good job of being impartial until it's something he's close to, then he treads lightly. Which most people do. Does anyone expect him to torch a lifelong friendship so he can give you a TRULY unbiased opinion? He's been critical of Ricky's commentating with other guests, but is cordial with Ricky when he's on the show because he doesn't want to burn that bridge.
You enjoy the show a lot more when you listen with a filter of "ok, he's probably going to have a milder take on this situation", and move on.
And the two ex girlfriends are just in time to ruin another thread!

What’s the difference between the AMA & GP bikes? I presume the GP bikes are the evolution models with a few extra bits of trick parts bolted on. They look like rocket ships.

That don't work. I have one that I have been ignoring for months and he still talks shit about me and constantly responds to my posts like we have a dialog.
But I agree, this one is not worth the effort either. The problem is that can be said for many of the members here. You try going around with somebody trying to kick you in the balls relentlessly and try and ignore it... For the most part it's the same clown posse performing these acts on a regular basis.
I would say just "Real" enough to throw shade on Triumph. I may have to tune in for this one.

Back to the Ferry departure, I’m really interested to hear what pulp has to say. Although I’m not expecting much of a deep dive. I have no clue where he ends up next.
I know everyone has said he been bouncing around teams but what is the chance that was due to the Triumph opportunity? Sure, he left Rockstar and end up on the NSA team (the Star tryout doesn't matter or count as bouncing around). Unless I missed something, he then did his own deal riding a Yamaha and then a KTM. Since we are all speculating, maybe he had a verbal agreement and there were delays at Triumph. Historically, the teams twist things their way all while having the riders sign an NDA.
Well, Evan will be on Pulp tonight so I would say that's pretty strong on the journalist side. His relationship with the Ferry's IS what made that possible for those who think that's a problem.
Rumor is the team runs Rotella and the Ferry”s are vehemently against Rotella….
I just hope he asks some thought provoking questions and it doesn’t turn into a bro down phone call about how Evan’s brother didn’t run Steve’s pulpmx stickers on his helmet or whatever

Honestly I thought the “bouncing around” occurred while he was developing the triumph, but obviously couldn’t race it. Triumph admitted using Yamaha and Austrian bikes as benchmarks, and I don’t think Evan was on factory supported (ie: free) bikes when he rode the NSA Yamaha or the gasgas. I assumed he raced whatever he was spending a fair amount of time on as a benchmark while developing the triumph.
So while the whole “jumping teams” thing is getting thrown around a bunch, I’m not really counting those since it seemed pretty well known he was going to end up at Triumph. I could have my timeline mixed up though.

That + he’s a rookie, coming in on a brand new bike and team that people are excited to watch. And he has only raced an LCQ and eaten shit. So it is a bit of a talking point.
Bit of expectation and curiosity to see how he would fare.
If we knew more about Romano, that would be a good talking point. Has been a strange one.

Jist seemed to be he wasn't mentally in a good place. Not sure if anything meaningful was said after that. Also said he hasn't burned any bridges.
