GP from Bulgaria is 5 days 4 hrs 6 min from starting

Edited Date/Time 1/27/2012 1:39am
Just wanted to see who's as pumped as I am for the start of the GP season and see what all the round one predictions are. Thank god (or whoever own it) for freecaster.tv for their live coverage of the whole gp seasons.

My prediction for round 1

MX1

DeSalle

Cairoli

Albertson

MX2

Roczen

Musquin

Osborne

I will admit both my 3rd place predictions are really who I really really want to hit the podium. If we can get two Americans on the podium consistently it will make this season that much more fun for me.

Either way I can't wait to get this season going. To me the GP series has the best tracks and by far the best live coverage out there. Not to mention IMO a field that's on par(not better or worse) with the ama Nationals. For all those that haven't watched the GP's live on Freecaster.tv here's the link

http://freecaster.tv/live/mx/1010843/mx-gp-of-bulgaria-2010-live

And if you're not a junky like me and don't want to get up between 2-4 am to watch the GPs live Freecater usually has them archived to watch by Monday evening

Why does everyone think Roczen is going to win? Musquin schooled the field last year.

Roczen took wins away from Musquin last year. I swear this kid gets faster every race and it wouldn't surprise me if he wins the championship this year. 15 years old and he beat Weimer and Searle at the MXdN.

Can't wait!
Dwayne(MXerDW) will hook us up with the links in a couple of days.

I think Ken de Dycker will come out swinging, he seems to have a new drive.

Becasue Roczen beat him at times last year, I saw him ride last weekend and he is even faster.

He was running with Desalle. Dungey at the MXDN at the start of race one, he just beat Nagl in Germnay.

The guy is unreal.

He has as much chance as Musquin it will be close I think as Marvin will probably get faster too.

I'm thinking of packing my little blow up boat. The rivers are going to be pretty high apparently.

Yep..lol. I got to go with my favorites in week one. If my favorites don't perform in week one I'll concede and switch it up. I may have picked Desalle even if he wasn't my favorite though. The kids on the factory Teka zooker now. The way I see it is if Desalle could occasionally beat the field on the (pretty much) privateer honda he should kill them on the factory bike this year.(fingers crossed)

I'm so burnt out on sx right now. I can't wait to start talking outdoor mx and gps.

Agree with your last line ... SX is great for the winter but thats about it ... it's a show.

Once March comes its onto the real thing- motocross.

I would prefer to be at a British motocross round for the day than an AMA Supercross much better value for money - 6 25 minute races, and actual passing.

Now the GPs are about to start then the AMA nationals in May... its getting good in 2010.

He should do good. I hope he tries racing an AMA national again.

I'm only keeping an eye on the SX because of Pourcel. I can't wait for the first rounds of each series.

Astor why would you guess that about TC? Is he injured? If not him taking it easy will still put him on the podium IMO. You're really going out on a limb by not putting Roczen or Cairoli on the podium for round one. I didn't put Bg Ken on the podium but I hope he's on it. I love watching him ride. He reminds me of my favorite rider of the lAte 70's early 80's. Mike too tall Bell. When I was a kid I had one of Bells jerseys and it was so big it dragged on the ground when i wore it..lol

Yes, very pumped for the GP series. I have to publicly hate on Philippaerts but secretly just dig his style. The guy is bad ass!

No Ramon for the top 5? He seems motivated this year, I see him as a dark horse for the title.

According to http://www.speedweek.ch/ the GPs will be aired live on their site.

Working together with www.redbull.com they will broadcast all the races via livestream.
That sounds nice, because freecaster.tv / extreme.com will charge you for their livestreams this season.

It will be close racing on a fast track like Sevlievo.
You will need a good start. That's why I put Nagl on 1 and Ramon outside the top 5 but that's just guessing Cool

Strijbos will be there. He recovers well from a small concussion.

Mcread...Most of us know Ramon is capable of top 5's ,top 3's and even capable of wins but Ramon is the type of guy that shows up when he feels like showing up. You never know which Ramon will be there week to week. I've always liked the guy but his consistency is always in question. When Ramon has something to ride for he kills it. Just like in 07 when Coppins got hurt all of a sudden Ramon had a purpose and he killed it.

Big Ken DeDyker is like that too. If Dedyker rode like he did at the end of the year last year all year long DeDyker would be the clear favorite. Ken was riding pissed because he lost his teka ride and his MXdN spot to Desalle and he was out there with something to prove and Ken killed it. Ken was out there to show teka and team Belgium they fucked up.

Ramon is really really consistent he just doesn't win much but he is usually top 5/6 always thinking about the championship, he hasn't been outside the top 4 in the GPs for 10 years includin two world titles..until last year's injury... but I get the sense that this year he wants to be regularly on the podium with a few more wins.

I agree with regards to victories if he shows up to win he can beat anyone in the world. But he rarely rides like that.

it is highly likely Barragan, Pourcel or Desalle could win too, the talent pool is so deep it really is hard to pick!

it's getting closer.. but still down about Paulin getting hurt, was looking forward to seeing him ride htis year, he seemed to have stepped it up to another level.
