Should have been a 50/50 option.....that's my vote.

Racing incident.....that's all it was.

Just remember Jett’s core fans put the blame on Forkner when Jett cross jumped Forkner. Of course they will say 0% on Jett..

55/45 Barcia/Jett

This poll shows just how uninformed most vital users are. JT$, who has more experience and knowledge in racing than anyone participating on this forum, breaks the situation down succinctly in his post race video. He disagrees with the majority here. He has been all over the Jett hype train, so you can’t say he has any bias against him. It was a racing incident. Nothing more, nothing less.

60/40. The guy behind making contact has to bare the greater share of responsibility.

Barca was going in so hot that it really didnt matter where in the turn anyone was. They were going to be his berm.

But Jett made the contact worse than it would have been by cutting down. So Jett definitely contributed to it.

That was a picture perfect t-bone. You people are fucking nuts.

And I'm sure there's plenty of people with more racing experience than JT that disagree with him. Just because someone is more familiar with something than another person who disagrees with them, doesn't automatically make the more familiarised/knowledgeable person correct

I was looking for a 90% Barcia, 10% Jett option. But 100% will have to do.

50/50

reminded me of the stew Dunge one..

Bam knows how to block and T-Bone better than anyone in the sport and he looked surprised and really concerned for Jett..

Barcia came in hot protecting the line from Friese and Jett turned down early. Perfect storm, there lines came together. Racing incident. Crashes like these have happened before & will happen again

Pretty much the two options in the middle are a racing incident options.  Considering how polarized Vital is, I figured more people here will place more blame on a specific rider than sharing it perfectly even at 50/50.  Based on the poll results, if you add up the votes for two options in the middle, the Vital majority sees this as a racing incident with both riders playing a role.   This was not a blatant takeout like the Alessi vs Tickle move:

I’m more of a 90/10 guy so 60/40 will have to do. Let’s pretend Jett got the holeshot and isn’t even in that corner. What was Barcia’s end goal?

To avoid getting Bam Bam'd himself from Friese.

Let's say if Jett didn't cut down early, would he still get hit???

If that was Tomac or Webb in Jett’s position, this place would have burnt down last night.

JT has to please some people as a tv announcer, you want to hear him say Barcia went for the kill or to shake up the points?

After suspensions and fines i’d show some retribution too ahead of time and it worked.

If Jett wasn’t there Hunter may have gotten hit instead at that speed and angle.

Barcia has logged enough laps in main events to have a pretty good idea what Jett was going to do, he was never going wide there or he would have hit or got close to Hunter.

Do I think it was intentional ? Probably not, I think it's a combination of frustration of his season and just being Barcia, he was going to send it into there no matter what if someone was there so be it.

Or if Barcia wasn’t there don’t count out Friese to go bowling for Lawrences.

Jett took such a big bam bam that we almost forgot about Deegan.

2011 Villopoto and Stewart had a similar situation on the first lap. Villopoto squared up the turn and Stewart was inside of him. They both went down.

Dungey and Stewart had a similar situation also in 2016 when Stewart squared up on the first lap and Dungey was inside of him.

Now this one. Which was much more violent than the other two because of the section before being a straight away.

You can’t square up on the first lap. You also can’t come in at that angle on the first lap. They were both doing things they shouldn’t have been doing, and if either one doesn’t do what they did, all is good.

Like David Bailey always said, when you get bad starts, you’re at the mercy of the pack. When you start up front, you avoid that mayhem, or at least drastically reduce your chances of being involved in something like that. You completely remove any chance of chaos when you get the holeshot.

The main thing here is that I really hope Jett will be 100% in two weeks. If something like this were to happen, I’m glad it happened before the week off. Single digit points battle in the closing stretch. That’s what race fans always want to see.

If the world or season goes to shit go ahead and just pin it to crash into anyone in your way like it’s a video game.  Things have been tough lately 100 points down with diapers to change so why not take out the pretty boy points leader?

People need to stop comparing this to Dungey on Stew in 2016. Dungey was still entering the turn on the entry side of the tuff blocks, plus he clipped the jump and his rear wheel was off the ground and he could not stop. Barcia makes contact with Jett well past the tuff blocks, yes his rear wheel is off the ground but only because he is panic braking. He did not clip a jump or have anything on the straight that preceded the corner to unsettle him. I voted 60-40 on Barcia, but it's more like 80-20 on him. Call it dirty, call it bad judgement, whatever you want but it's on Barcia.

That’s some good history but in this situation i have a feeling Barcia was going to find Jett with this rare chance even if he was leading the race not caught up in the pack…Barcia was in a big hurry to make sure he made some contact at the speed and angle he was riding.  I’ve seen run-ins where people weren’t looking or their lines came together but Barcia invented his own line straight towards Jett as fast as he could.  If RC was afraid to say it other people aren’t with his history of it and someone creating a t-bone thread.

I'm a fan of both Tomac and Webb..... had the same thing happened and it was one of them, I would call it the same way.

Unfortunate racing incident.

It sucked regardless of who it was.

I think they should consider using single jumps each end (double for some) when they do the cross over lanes. Provides some separation in 180 corner especially in triple crown.

Overall I thought track was great and provided great racing.
