When did this become a thing?

The difference is, Stew didn't do those things in free practice. The quads/wall jump happened during the races so they couldn't change it.

Yeah some of the famous ones happened like that, but there were plenty of times after qualifying that RC and Reed would be like, (paraphrasing); ‘well I’m going to have to either pull the trigger, or hope that Stew crashes’.
They never changed an obstacle just because Stew was the only one doing it, at least that I can remember?

They changed jumps at ironman a couple times that they didn’t want people jumping

Honestly, what Jett did was unreal. The quad in the middle of that section would have sent us into a frenzy in 2012. The 5 (what do we even call that) was huge. It sucks that they changed it but I get the rider safety side of things.

we complain about bikes being too fast for the track and too dangerous, and in the next breath complain that they took away a 80’ jump from a rhythm section.

Or maybe they’re saving Jett from himself? It could have just as easily ended his season, as it could have helped him win tonight. Also it’s not like the others wouldn’t have eventually pulled the trigger on it too.

How many winners will there be? Time will tell.

And don't worry the hatters will find something to bitch about ... that part never fails.

I am just thrilled A1 is about to start!

The SX Title has never been won at A1, but it has been lost.

Why are we still racing 1990s tracks.  Follow the leader is getting boring.

We want to see passes for the lead.  That is what gets the crowd on their feet.  I agree with the op.  The races just arent what they were in the reed rc stew era.

I don't know, Anderson and Webb both showed they had the speed to win tonight, Jett really only broke free once those to started mixing it up with each other.

Actually feel as though Webb might have even closed the gap to Jett if he made that first pass attempt on Anderson stick and got free, though that is a if but and maybe situation.

Sexton will find the speed to win some, same as Tomac. So There is 4 possible winners.

Kenny looked so good in that heat, goes down in main, he could take a win.

Plessinger not far off the speed all race, might take the right situation, and Ferrandis will keep getting better.

Outside of those riders though, I don't see anyone else.

So maybe as little as 4 winners this year max of 7 which would be a good year.

Or Jett goes 17 - 0 and it is both boring and exciting at the same time

When the leader is the fastest rider on the track, there is not going to be passes up front, not without throwing in pitstops!

Apart from Jett, I am pretty sure every other rider on track was either passed or made a pass, so certainly no issue with riders passing each other tonight, in either class.

But it is impossible to pass someone who is faster than you unless they make mistakes. Hence why Jett was never passed. actually pretty sure track was changed taking out an obstacle that helped keep the field closer to Jett Smile

Was Roger involved…again?

Well, the jinx has worked for the first half the season but Jett is starting to pull away.  Time to bump the thread in hopes to jinx the one man runaway in the second half of the season...

Guessing you are not a Jett fan because you want to jinx him?

Thats fucked up.

I'm a fan of everyone out there, including Jett.  I just want the title race to stay close down to the end.   It's been great so far this year, and I want to see it continue that way. I don't care who wins, I'm more a fan of the sport more-so than a fan of one specific rider.

Might as well give up reasoning with the insane Jett fans.

I agree... don't want to see a boring rest of the season

With that we agree on then.

Indys ruts and triple crown are going to make tonight’s racing like rolling dice.

BDB,

You shoulda sent this jynx out again before the '25 supercross season because it seems to have worked in '24 season with the top players lasting much longer.  2025 supercross was the absolute blood bath that you speak of here, which unfortunately is usually the norm in Supercross.

So here we are again getting all hyped up for the great outdoors next week.  I'm a gonna call to jynx the 2025 MX season as well, to break it of typical patterns.  Here's to the moto lords giving us the top 6 guys to last the whole MX season.  Let's go!
