What is everyone's opinion for best knee braces??

I've previously ran the EVS Web and EVS Axis Pro's. My Axis Pro's are getting pretty old, slip down easy and are tearing up my gear. They've never really fit quite the way I wanted..

Interested in getting something new and wondering what everyone is happy with before dropping the $$

Thanks in advance!

I have two pairs of Mobius' braces and the only complaint I had was they are hot , other than that i have no complaints . They fit well , and don't migrate .

That being said i got a pair of the Astar Bionic carbon braces , they fit well and are cooler by a long shot , just have to pay attention when I put them on to get them from migrating (need to tighten them more than I would think .HAve been wearing them for a few months now and the jury is still out on them

I like them. Easier to grip the bike.

Been running mobius since 2016. No issues, easy to rebuild and great customer service. I haven't worn knee pads since I was on 80s, but I don't feel like the braces hinder my riding at all.

Tried Oneal guards, with them on i feel like the opposite of most, like i cant grip the bike/lose feedback of the bike through my knees.

As mentioned above , Mobius are very nice and their customer service is top notch. With that said , keep an eye on the elastic straps if you get them. When the bottom one stretches out , your pants or maybe just liners get stuck in there and your leg gets locked up so you can’t straighten it. Doesn’t happen with my heavy duty off - road pants , just the light mx ones. I’m pretty much just a practice rider , so I can pull over and mess with it , but it would sure suck for this to happen in a race. 2BC211BD-7258-484F-B751-31A4FCBA9BEF.jpeg?VersionId=WCmy

I have a set of möbius and thought the protection was good, however being tall, for whatever reason I could not bend my legs enough to comfortably keep my feet on the pegs while sitting.

I have the Asterisk Cell and love them.  The last pair I had lasted 10 years before they were worn out.

Had the orginal Asterisk’s and the 2.0’s (not the carbons). Just switched over to the Slayco knee pads and I’m much happier. Won’t be going back

Asterisk Carbon braces are the lightest most comfortable knee braces I’ve ever worn. I’ve used most of the braces out there….

that being said, if you decide to go back to an EVS brace, message me and I can help you save some money.

I tried couple different braces.  None seemed to want to stay in place.  I felt wearing a sports brace along with knee cups was a better option.  I tried a Leatt and a couple other brand I don’t recall.   Ended up with EVS SX2, not high end but they fit and seem to hold my knee in place better than any I tried.  Even took them to my knee doctor who is very familiar with MX braces.  He said there were fine, use them.

They are hard to get off on a hot day, they are stuck like chuck.  But they stay in place.  I never have to pull them up they don’t move.  These wear out I’ll buy another pair.

Tried a few different ones, couldn't get on with any of them.

Standard knee guards for me.

In my opinion, regular training and mobility work to strengthen the legs, knees and tendons etc will do more to prevent knee injury than strapping some on plastic contraptions.

I'm only 5' 10" and have this same issue. When seated my mobius braces create some resistance is the back when my legs are bent.  Makes shifting and braking a little more difficult while seated. After 6 years with them I am going to try the slayco knee pads.

But I do have to say, Mobius has awesome customer service. They have rebuilt my braces for free, and whenever I need a new strap they just send me one for free.

I tried on a few of the popular ones and the Mobius were by far the most comfortable, once I get them on and adjusted just right they never move and I never have any chafing on the back of my knees.

Im almost 6'3" and they are the only design that seems to work well when you are tall the braces just have to bend a TON as you can see in the photo.

Also Jett wears Mobius along with quite a few other pros sponsored by brands that sell knee braces...

I have a pair of CTI braces that I've been wearing while skiing and riding for years. They definitely stop hyper extension and hyper flexion but the knees can still twist a bit with them on. I feel naked without them.

Thank you all for the feedback. These are the kind of comments I was looking for. I prefer to ride with full knee braces for added leg protection and have been eyeing Mobius or Asteriks. Little pricey so wanted to tap into you all for some knowledge and am starting to lean towards Mobius.

Appreciate you guys!

This was 10 years ago but I had the Asterisk cell's and went down over a blind jump. Was landed on by the next bike on the side of my extended knee. Cracked the carbon brace but no injury. Best $$$ I ever spent on MX safety gear other than helmet and boots.

Asterisk replaced the brace no questions asked.
