Get 3 consistent good starts and you likely have a podium. I sort of like these balls to the wall short races. 3 separate nerve-wracking starts ramps up the intensity. Kenny, Barcia, and Coop got the podium last year. *Vince being a good starter could play a role as the other riders try to get by (wide-load)🥴
*Update: been told Vince is out
didn’t know it was triple crown but glad to hear. hope Indy is covered and/or we have no weather issues.
Side question - is Lucas oil that big in Motorsport that they can own a whole stadium?
Vince isn't racing.
The Shop
Luxon 4-Post Bar Mounts
$189.95 - $239.95
DeCal Works Huge Plastic Inventory of UFO and Polisport kits.
They don't own the stadium but paid for the naming rights "Lucas Oil Stadium". They also are big in drag racing and sell numerous oil-additive products.
"In 2006, Lucas Oil Products secured the naming rights from the Indianapolis Colts at $122 million to be paid over a 20 year period"
They sponsor more than one, I think.
They're more than motorsport. They're average consumer as well.
Well we still have Plan B Barcia, and Plan C Anderson 🙂
btw... It looks like Husky will try some new suspension components this week like their Austrian brothers Gas-Gas and KTM.
Kenny is the first and only guy (so far), to sweep a triple crown race..... No pressure Jett
Triple the fun! 🙂
I like all moto. But, at professional level, if no endurance is required, it's very, very sub par.
Kenny is also remarkable on the first 3-4 laps with his sprint speed. It makes him a threat at every triple crown.
I wouldn't want it all the time but i do enjoy the change of pace on occasion 🐇.......
Yes, they hv a ton of excellent products that work amazing. The power steering pump seal was out on a work van. Lucas stuff resealed the seal & stopped the gear from winding. They sell a ton of products for trucking that work great too. Racing promotes there products. Coolest sponsor for a stadium. Indy is the center of racing.
They own a 3/8 mile dirt track with a drag boat lake across the street from it.
If you've ever seen their properties here in Missouri, it would certainly seem so.
Love triple crown races! I just wish they would pay points each race.
You're thinking of Lucas Oil Speedway, which is actually in Missouri. They do have Lucas Oil Raceway in Indy, but it's more west of Indy on the other side of Speedway, Indiana. They have a concrete oval as well as a drag strip.
It's confusing, I know. I've made the same mistake when I thought the World of Outlaws was coming to Indy. 😅
Pit Row
I love that they went away from the 3 moto format because "it was too confusing" for a newbie TV audience. Now they have gone back to it because they figured out it is more exciting..... Humans, so fun to watch sometimes.
Ken wins at least one of the three.
Tomac's first win coming. I can feel it. 2-1-1 scores. Stamp it.
KTM Juniors are back so count on boring whoops as well. I mute the broadcast now so I will miss the explanation of the 3 moto format, Wills conversation during the race of her conversation with a team manager earlier in the week, inside - outside, best in the business, elbow grease, and on and on...🤢
Maybe Anstie, Vialle, Brown, or McAdoo will win.
I have a gut feeling Hammaker is going to have a good race. I don't think he was showing all his speed off last week after hitting the deck like a ton of shit..
That would be cool too.
So 2 Triple Crowns in 3 weeks? Interesting.
Do they typically clean the track up between mains at all in this format?
After last year, I'm interested/concerned to see the state of that track by end of the 3rd 450 main.
What's up with Vince, he's missed the last couple of races?
The team only does select east rounds and they're done with them for the season.
