DEATHcross? No?
It is unfortunate, he had to have been a favorite for the title.
I’m only down voting because that sucks! He is so ready to take it to the next level, the timing is awful.
Damn that sucks, sport is brutal. Get well soon Jago.
Thanks for the update Brent, poor Geertz can catch a brake.

I had him as my spoiler for the season
He break it in practice or the quali race? Either way sucks for him, he’s hurt every year.
Second corner first lap Saturday qualifier
Got tangled with another rider over a jump
Track is really fast
Actually, he broke it in another crash later on in the first lap. He rode away from that first turn crash.
Definitely sucks though as he'd have made the MXGP class even more interesting
His story in Dutch, English & French.
Is there any footage of the crash?
There is GoPro footage from his perspective, but not sure if that's going to get released or not
It shows the start crash well, and then he crashes on the corner after where seewer had the big get-off last year
Definitely a title contender when he's healthy. Seeing him pace ET3 @ mxon in 2022 was insane for his first pro 450 race.
His starts need some work to say at least...
He would've had the MX2 title wrapped up if he had them dialed. Was clearly the guy to beat, but his starts kept getting him into bad situations.
Yeah i did not see him as a title contender for this year at all. Give him a good start at a sand track (and obviously healthy) he could possibly fight for a win. But title contender would have shocked me.
If I'm not mistaken he was the only one to beat Prado in a duel, in the GP of France. But when you start almost always 5 to 7 places behind Prado, Vialle, Adamo,... you can't become a world champion. Weird that nobody seems to notice his shitty starts. Would love to see him go to the USA, back on the 250cc for two or three years.
I think that's the thing that teams overlook or feel they can "work on" with a rider. The speed is there, the starts not so much. Sounds kind of like a Mitch Payton rider formula, great team for him to land on too if that ever were to happen.
