Looks like SX did not hurt Prado. He looked great today. So did de Wolf…as expected. ….but podium for Haarup and Triumph in first MX2 race of the year!! That’s pretty kick ass since I would not have picked Haarup for third on any brand of bike. Gajser is going to be a threat if he stays up and healthy.
Hell yea, they both looked good. That track seems awesome too.
The Triumph debut in MX2 was extremely impressive.
Maybe I'm making things up but it did seem like Prado was a bit better at passing. He made his way forward on lap 1 in every race.
Surprises of the weekend for me were Haarup and Rossi. Rossi was unbelievably impressive in moto 1. He went down and damn near went by Benistant for 2nd again. He was spent after that moto and didn't have much to give in moto 2. But he'll have a moto win and GP win here soon.
Also what a heartbreak for coenen! He’s going to be the fastest guy a lot this season but mannn does he need to keep it on 2 wheels…
jonas showing his skills out there too. He’s a pretty underrated rider IMO. Elite level.

that track was amazing - it looked like they could take any line and make passes from anywhere on the track. Fast and fun racing!
idk why but it looks like theyre tracks are built like a freeway. I know not all the tracks are like this but they always seem like they flow and have a bit more overall speed which, at least watching seem way more fun than ours
That new triumph 250 is really intriguing. I might want one.
Forgive my ignorance but is that a full works Triumph Haarup is on?
It is.
Sick!
I spoke to him a bit about it before the weekend and he's been super-impressed with everything and obviously that translated into his results.
Btw, he's a cool guy and if you need another reason to support Triumph, he's as good as any (McClellan is as well)
Rossi is the real deal.
Pauls Jonass is 2017 MX2 World Champion, so he is elite level
First thought watching was "why can't we prep our tracks like this for the nationals?" Impossible to call it one lined when you can go anywhere, lots of cutting down/carving lines in the turns
First year effort by Triumph has been impressive so far! Definite reflection of the people involved!
lol yes that's exactly what i said. Elite level!
Yea. Rossi looked good. He had a weird wipeout when he went all the way to the outside, then cut all the way inside and swapped ends and wiped out. Not sure if whoever that was(can’t remember and too lazy to go look) barely clipped his rear wheel. Anyway…looked weird.
I have not seen the MX races yet, but wow did the MX2 guys race their asses off all the way to the checkers, the intensity was off the chart. The track was fantastic, and agreed about the notables, Coenen, Dewolf (I am starting to call him spider monkey), and wow for Haarup and the new bike! Triumph had a pretty decent weekend both in SX and the GPs.
GP racing just keeps getting better IMO.
Yea…guys were tearing it up!!… and the track held up great. I think we rip our tracks too deep…then they rut up easy and deep. I ride Thunder Valley a lot and they disc that track way deep and then they water the shit out of it. Then you get massive ruts in some of the turns…not to mention your bike looks like you were in a mud race even on a sunny day. If they had a firm base and just rip the depth of the ruts, to get rid of them, then the top softer part is not so deep the rut holds, but the top soft stuff can push around more.
Post a reply to: Congrats to Prado, de Wolf, and Haarup/Triumph!
