Deegan Ends Shock's Season 💭

I feel for Coty. He's had a helluva season. 

What’s the point difference between 8th and 7th? 1 or 2 points?  Punting a guy for that little is kinda lame. I think most people look at shock since the outdoor season he was killing it as the peoples champ. This sucks.

Deegans bike was parallel with shocks when they made contact. You see way more aggressive passes constantly and crickets. Deegan lives rent free

The difference here is how he acts. If Deegan had done that then went to Schock after and apologized, I wouldn't be too torn up about it, but this was the 2nd time tonight he threw a tantrum at someone. He's acting arrogant and narcissistic and needs to grow up, and until he does he can fuck off.

I am completely gutted for Schock, this guy has been riding the season of his life for ClubMX and proved he deserved to be there, and he gets caught in the crossfire of someones temper tantrum and it takes him out of the season. I hope that he gets right back up and keeps riding hard cuz I've been cheering for him all season, and I will cheer for him to kick butt next season too.

I get it. I was there and I was just as happy as anyone to see Shock win that heat and always pull for the underdogs. But at the end of the day that pass Deegan made was nothing. Hymas’s pass on Swoll in the heat was harder contact than that and I doubt there was an apology for it and I wouldn’t really expect one. That’s racing especially on a track that was so one lined. 

Deegan embarrassed himself tonight, the championship pressure has been applied and he’s wilting. Not totally surprised by this due to his age and status but hopefully he’ll make adjustments.

Plays his part in causing a start crash in the heat and takes zero responsibility for it. Goes as far as to go and have a go at the guy he took out in the pits. 
 

Cuts the track on the first lap rather than wait like everyone else and race fairly. 
 

Ends Schock’s season by punting him for 7th place in the last turn. 
 

When challenged for his terrible attitude, behaviour and all round performance, yells at an AMA an official just to round it all off. 
 

Struggling to remember a single night where a factory rider has made more of an embarrassment of themselves

1 or 2 other riders went off the track in the same spot and “cut” the track. Any comments on that?

If that’s your idea of punting a rider I’ll send you some videos to educate what that really means. Blaming only deegan for the shock pass would be like only blaming Seth Hammaker for the first turn crash. Coty knew he was there but it was too late he left the door open. Can’t blame deegan when Coty came in injured.

Seth is absolutely not responsible at all for the first turn crash. Deegan cut so far across and especially in a really tight situation like that the person on the outside needs to be aware to not squeeze people and cause a wreck.

As for Coty and Deegan, just because someone else has done worse doesn't mean hes excused, and just because someone is somewhat open for an overtake, doesn't mean you should make a hail mary divebomb for a takeout, especially for 7th damn place, and once again, other riders don't take people out and then yell at everyone else when they dont get their way, thats what a narcissist does.

I believe nobody else was penalized because of Deegans actions other than that incident. You lose all mercy from the AMA the moment you going around yelling at officials and taking people out.

Sad situation for Coty but hopefully what he has shown with his riding so far this season will keep him on a decent team and off privateer island for a while. 

That’s exactly what I implied buddy. Of course the start crash wasn’t Seth’s fault. That’s part of racing it happens. 
 

the only reason people are mad is because city had a previous injury. If he didn’t have a broken collarbone no body would care.

When I hear people defend Deegan by using the “he’s just kid” line it sends me through the roof. This is a learned behavior that unfortunately mommy and daddy didn’t nip when he was a toddler. So now he still acts like that same toddler. After his antics do you think pop grabs him by the scruff of the neck in the pit? Not a chance. Prob just throws him the devil horns like the douche he is. My old man would’ve bitchslapped me into next Tuesday. I’ve got a 14 year old son who knows better than to behave like “dangerboy”  The 38 will never grow up so stop waiting for it.

Just to recap:

- First turn incident, gets upset, yells at Seth and throws Seth’s bike to the ground in frustration 

- goes to PC pits after the heat to continue yelling at Seth

- bad start in the main, goes even further off track than everyone else who got pushed wide and starts clicking gears barreling through mechanics/track personnel 

- last lap/last turn takes out Schock 

- proceeds to get in a yelling match with an AMA official 

- gets docked two positions for the off track excursion
