First, I am SORRY I know these threads are annoying. Give me some slack.
I'll be in orlando this week and would like to do some riding on thursday probably. I am uninterested in orlando MX since they paved it lol.
Options currently include Ocala natl forest, Croom, and Pax. Pax is probably the clear choice but if anyone has a contact at The Farm I would LOVE to get in there as well. Heck I'd love to go over to the bakers factory if anyones got a connection![]()

Pax it is!
"Throttle therapy thursday"
The only thing that sucks is the track is only good from like noon to 2:30 because this time of year the shadows get so bad its basically mystery berms. It's still fun but gets a little sketchy when the sun is perpendicular to your eyeballs.
Plus, as of right now it is calling for rain.. ):
You sure do a lot of complaining on here.
Example? I said it's hard to ride in low sun what the issue there

Pax has a huge money race on Wednesday, so you better check to see if they are open on Thurs for practice.
I just heard Tampa mx cancelled their Thursday money race.
The last thread you started like this wound up with you bitching that every track was too expensive, every track was too far, not your favorite dirt, and now apparently shadows are in your crosshairs
Next Tuesday Pax will be open for practice, it should be a pretty fast crowd over there. Before Bikeweek a ton of fast kids are there and that was before the Moto Money Shootout.
If that race doesn't fill up, I am done with hearing privateers bitch about money. I was talking to a night show guy that isn't racing the Pax money race and basically offered to stake him. I'll pay entry fee and we split the proceeds after the entry fee is won back. Some guys don't want to bet on themselves even if it doesn't cost them money.
The Tampa race was the same way, mid-level privateers would avoid it like the plague while Chiz brings his stock Yamaha over there and takes everyone's lunch money.
I’m well aware my friend. I help put on fair and money races up here in the upper Midwest and privateers that live 7 miles away don’t show up. It ain’t like the old days anymore.
The rider is given a tax form at the track. The track will claim they paid the rider. If the rider doesn’t claim it he’s in trouble with the irs. If you want 1/2 or anything after the sign up etc cost. He has to pay taxes on the say 2,800 he gave you. I,m not sure if I would drive 1,100 mi to get 1/2 my money. Dr office called again 3 injections lined up & maybe a 4th. Or I would negotiate with ya. But please keep me in mind in the future tho.
Half of nothing is nothing. I wasn't trying to screw a guy over, hell I'd cover the tax or I would claim the amount and pay taxes and pay him cash tax free. I would just like to see this event succeed and become an annual thing.
Are you a woman? If I don’t like driving 4 hours to ride I’m bitching? And yes $70 to ride at motobros is insane. You can venmo me the entry fee if you want though big guy. Log off.
I think it's an ego thing. Night show guys would hate to get beat by a trucker on a CR125
The night show guy has sponsors paying the tab plus bonuses. The rider that didn’t spend yrs in the LL am system needs the help. I wasn’t insinuating that you were trying to take advantage of anyone. I would like the race to b a success also. The only other race with a 30k + purse is muddy creek 2-st . The big thing is who is the 125 fast guy. McGrath is in & Looks Great on the 125. He looks craftier than in 91 . Very creative lines with Great style. If the Fl. Race had a big money 125 class instead of 2-st that 250 riders fill the top 8 spots. Maybe it would start momentum on other big 125 money races.
Haha yeah I,m paying the price for that big time rt now. 3-4 injections lined up & maybe more. Just finished a few ice bath spells. Trucking in the se & ne is great practice for line choice & getting g forces higher than a bike.
Maybe you picked the wrong hobby, it’s never been cheap or easily accessible for everyone.
Hopefully Aldon sees this and gives you a call, Good luck on your search.
Rode Moto Bros in Okeechobee yesterday… 50$ for 2 excellently prepped tracks…. Bargain… Mesa in Fellsmere is back open, everyday I think.. 40$…
Went to sign up at the farm and found out it was going to be $70 To ride. Are you guys paying 50-70 a weekend to ride and doing this 4x a month? I have a great career etc etc but I’d love to hear from some of you guys. Everyone on vital clearing 180k a year or somethint?
It is a private track with limited number of people "invited" to ride at a time and the ride days are limited. It is not a typical public access track. The $70 does not cover actual expense costs.
Pit Row
Jesse Ansley posted a video at Moto Bros that place looks freaking awesome.
Where is the info posted about that race? I haven’t seen anything about it.
I pay $70 for myself and $100 more for my kids to ride there. I know everyday we go to MotoBros, the tracks will be prepped, practice's will be separated and my wife and dogs can hang by the beach or watch from the huge stands. If you cant swing $70 to ride at a facility with multiple tracks and amazing amenities, find a different sport or job. MotoBros is a perfect moto facility and I am happy I live within an hour from there! (Cant wait for baseball season to be over!)
I like the people so much actually, I sponsor Mr. Jensen in whatever races he decides to do. He looks out for the kids and keeps the tracks in great shape ALWAYS!
The farm is worth it. Nothing is even close for rideable tracks here. As said they don’t make any money from our entry fees. The owners are stilling paying more to operate. If you’re only down here a week it would be worth going once.
Hey that’s cool sponsor me too then!
that’s cool and all but you realize you’re swinging upwards of a thousand dollars a month to ride. So that’s fine for you but most of us are going to opt out of that. Sponsor all you want but if there aren’t riders there aren’t tracks. 12,000 dollar motorcycles and $200 ride days won’t last long. Can afford vs. should afford..
You are missing the mark. You seem like you would be the first to bash a track that was “cheaper” and not maintained. Newsflash, motocross is expensive. Do tracks that don’t at least break even stay open? Have fun not riding in Florida and going back to $30 goat trails.
What you obviously don’t get is bashing a track online may turn ONE person away. Is that what you want? Have you ever been to motobros?
I choose to help out people that give back to the sport… I don’t think you fit that criteria.
Then be our savior. Buy some land, build a track, get all the necessary permitting and insurance, buy all the necessary equipment to maintain it, hire the required staff to run a practice day, deal with losing your ass on rain outs and busted equipment multiple times a year, and charge what YOU think it should cost to ride. I’ll be in the line to get in on opening day.
Many word little meaning. I ride prepped tracks from AL to Chicago for 25-35 dollars all year long. Yeah I’ve been and I thought they ruined it with the clay and I could give a rip about a dyed pond. I want to RIDE and ride more often.
I don’t care if someone decides not to go. They’re running a business. The delusion is all yours where you think you’re so core that it’s rad to get hosed to go practice somewhere because they know your name. I even like the owner and we chatted. He’s smart and likes the sport but he’s a businessman. How are these people giving back? They’re operating a business.
FYI- I rode and raced in Florida for about 9 years so I’ve done plenty of “giving”.
