If he shows he has the speed and is on the box or battling for it he still be in the game. If he comes back and rides around in 10th, not good for his chances.
Not if he's close to 100%. If he's good in the remaining 5 rounds he'll be fine. If not he probably won't. I don't think missing two rounds changes a thing unless he doesn't get back to 100% and doesn't get the chance to show everything.

I don’t understand any of it. To burn a bridge and leave a team to join another team for SX only on a one year deal, knowing you have a fucked up arm and need surgery, to then get the surgery and put yourself out of the title that you bet on yourself to win? It just doesn’t make sense to me.
Maybe he went under the knife with the teams blessing and they have a gentleman's agreement he'll ride for them next year. Pure speculation on my part, otherwise you're right, makes 0 sense.

tbh I didn't think guys still got that procedure knowing the fascia removed is temporary. I remember sellards having a bunch of issues with it.
